Bubble tea was ok

This location is great! I’ve been recently coming to this blackball to get a change of scenery to do some schoolwork, and so far I liked it better than I thought I would. At first I thought that I wouldn’t be able to focus in a cafe but the first time I came here it was super nice and peaceful, I like to go to this one spot that is out of the way so other customers can use the bigger tables, although it’s a smaller space I actually prefer it. The workers are also nice and hardworking, because I’ve been coming in lots I think the owner or a main employee recognizes me 😂. The drinks are super good and desserts as well, I haven’t gotten the chance to eat the food but for sure will try it when I get the chance. Overall the environment of the cafe is great there’s natural lighting, good service, and good drinks and snacks! Definitely recommend if you haven’t visited :)!

Dropped by for a late night BBT fix , I love everything Taro, so the staff recommended I get fresh grass jelly and fresh taro, there were so much fresh ingredients, I had to save half for the next day. The mini taro balls we’re fresh and got a nice chew. The fresh taro were easily pull apart.

Our family had three BBT orders as well, we really love the purple rice with mini sweet yam balls, fresh taro sago and roasted milk tea with grass jelly. The ingredients tasted really fresh and bbt were flavourful not watered down. The staff added extra purple rice as well which I really appreciate!

There is street parking right in front of the store.

With so many bbt options on this Kingsway joint, I feel that blackball stands out due to their good quality of the ingredients. I will be back!

No longer honors existing gift cards due to management change. Lost close to $100 as the minimum refill cost was $100.

Tried the milk tea shaved ice bowl. Totally delicious.

Love the bubble tea there! My favourite drink was made with fresh taro. I also love the desserts there because they made the cheesecakes themselves

Blackball has been under new management in the last 6 months. I noticed their menu changed a bit as well. In addition to desserts they now also serve cooked snacks. We had the marinated chicken wings and the Takoyaki, both were hitting the spot as we were a bit hungry but not wanting dinner. We then moved into the dessert and it was hard to choose from. We decided to share a Boba's Ice Castle and then ordered a Blueberry Slush with Pearls to bring to someone. All was great and so happy to have a light snack rather than a full dinner.

Quite a good brown sugar bubble and agar jelly smoothie with gelato on top. It had a nice ice cream smoothie. Definitely got a sugar high after, but good either way.
The other drink is winter melon ice tea. Which was pretty good and also sweet.

I ordered 2 types of mochi from this location an I can’t say I was impressed. I have tried eating hot mochi when I was in Taiwan and that was amazing, but when I compare it to what I tried here, neither the taste or quality of ingredients can compare to what I had in Taipei. Slightly disappointed since i have been craving hot mochi for a while now 😕

I discovered this gem through the Too Good To Go app when I picked up a Black Ball dessert, and I’ve been hooked ever since! The quality is amazing, especially considering how affordable everything is. Their bubble teas are packed with flavor and come with so many fun toppings — it’s honestly the best value for the price. Whether you’re grabbing a quick treat or indulging in something sweet, this place never disappoints. Highly recommend!
