I usually really like this café, but today around 2:50 PM I had an experience that made me feel very uncomfortable while ordering a smoothie. I kindly asked the barista to put less ice. However, the medium-sized smoothie they prepared didn’t fill the medium cup—it was noticeably incomplete.
When I asked why it was missing and explained that they should have added a bit more milk to fill the cup properly, the barista told me, ‘I can only add more milk if you pay extra.’
I responded by saying, ‘I’m not asking for extra milk; I’m just saying that you should have adjusted the ingredients to fill the medium cup. Since I asked for less ice, you should have compensated by adding more smoothie or milk to reach the correct volume.’
However, the barista kept insisting on charging extra. I’ve never experienced anything like this before. So why did I pay for a medium smoothie in the first place? I should have just ordered a small one instead. This was completely unreasonable.
Incredibly poor customer service! I have been a regular in here for over a year, and have recently had knee surgery done. I entered my first time today since the surgery, and got my usual order for sit in. Keep in mind, I’m on crutches, the same man that works here most days then calls for me to come get the coffee myself. This same man seen that I was on crutches, yet did not have the decency to drop it down. So disappointed with the service received.
Don’t fall for the “free parking in back” when the barista’s don’t know a thing about how it works. Clueless staff that cost me a $115 ticket. Thanks, blenz!!
Rude to customers. Mistreat customers who are interested in their products. Breka is way much better.
Must have coffee, still waiting on a Blenz in T he Yukon.
I love this location! The staff are friendly and courteous. It's so nice to see staff that have been there for a number of years, like Chuck, always great service!
Oh and their Mochas are soooooo amazing, made with real Chocolate chips, so delicious!

Dirty and awful toilet, worn and poorly patched chairs.
The place is alright but looking very run down. Why do they close one section and entrance on Broadway? Furniture is falling apart. Wood floors worn out. Chinese working here not very friendly. They should close for a few weeks and do a renovation. All they need to do is replace all the furniture, repaint wall, replace the floor and update bathrooms. Drinks were fine. They still make eggnog latte.
great place to seat
The food prices are outrageous for what you get. I was hoping to go to Pallet Coffee across the street to find it closed, but ended up at Blenz nearby.
$15 for the premade Turkey Cranberry Sourdough Sandwich that looks like it's from a gas station, with hardly any fillings or flavour. Although bland, at least it was probably made recently, although would appreciate a "Packaged On" date.
The cashier was polite but not very engaging, and didn't offer a receipt until I asked for one.
I honestly think you can find better flavour elsewhere for half the price, heck even at Timmy's instead.

Facility needs cleaning and some attention to atmosphere. Black construction dust everywhere. Chairs held together with duct tape. "MacDonald's makes better muffins." My elderly father went to Blenz on Maple to grab a coffee while exploring the neighborhood. He said to stay away from there.

The staff is awesome but I can't believe the prices here!! $6 for a flat, small veggie sasoma. Similar price point for the croissants, cookies, etc. Nearly $14 for a skinny wrap.
I was in a crunch since Pallet across the street was closed but next time I'll definitely head at least to a independent cafe.
