Great experiences every time! Slowly becoming a regular here because staff is very friendly and attentive, and the food is always delicious. The lunch teishokus are a great value for the amount of food you get. Sweet corn kakiage was so good we couldn’t resist eating some before taking a photo! Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, everything is delicious!

Blue Coast was a great experience. The food was excellent, and you could really tell the fish and ingredients were top notch.

We came because we heard it was opened by an ex-Miku chef, and I appreciated the personal twist on some of the staple dishes that made Miku famous. The Salmon Oshi was definitely an upgrade.

Some of the dry ice, flames, and hanging salmon elements felt a bit gimmicky, but in a fun way especially since the prices aren’t overly inflated for the presentation.

My only complaint is that the servers still seemed to be finding their footing with the menu, and the beer supply was already depleted. But these are small kinks that are totally understandable for a new restaurant.

The food was all good, if not great. So three stars to start with. But:

1. The manager said there was no Lunch Teishoku served on holidays, which however was not mentioned in the menu.

2. The manager said that for the seafood tower, $4 has to be added due to the change of oysters sourcing. But when we ordered oysters again (with another waitress) and asked what oysters were they? She said they are Fanny Bay (in the menu).

Normally we don’t argue in order not to ruin the holiday mood, but we can always try to compensate by avoiding tipping.

The petit omakase plate was fantastic. I loved getting to sample a variety of flavorful appetizers. The truffle cream udon was so good, even my 7-year-old enjoyed it!
The cocktail and ice cream were both delicious too.
Can't wait to come back again!

There are large fish bones inside the sashimi. Perhaps due to the ratings and prices, my expectations were a little too high. Maybe it has changed since it was month ago…

Every dish was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. You can truly taste the freshness and care in every bite.
The Mango Crunch Roll and Seafood Yakisoba were outstanding - perfectly balanced and delicious. The warm atmosphere and attentive service made the dining experience even more enjoyable. I'll definitely be returning soon.

One of my new favourite restaurants for sure!
The lunch specials are a really good deal for the portion size, and both of the ones we got were super delicious

The food was really good! honestly one of the best I’ve had in Vancouver. My favorite was the Coast Aburi, it was absolutely heavenly. I would’ve ordered another one if I had any space left in my stomach.

The atmosphere is modern and casual, yet still neat and refined. The presentation of the dishes was great too. Definitely recommend it as a date spot.

The staff were friendly and professional, always checking in and making sure we were comfortable. I’ll definitely be back!

Loved my experience here!
Delicious rolls and nigiri, very cozy atmosphere and what really truly matters is the team behind this place.
I am so glad to have such a lovely place in my building. If I crave Japanese food, I can put my flip flops on, go downstairs and I’ll be in my Japanese home with top notch food and service.

Thank you guys for your hospitality.

The food presentation and service were good, but the food itself was just okay. The fish on the sushi roll didn’t look very fresh, and the rice tasted plain — not like proper sushi rice. The yakisoba portion was quite small and the flavor was very neutral. It was about $80+ for two person, i feel Its overpriced for the quality.
