Bon jour, bon appetite, Bon macarons…I have been to a lot of the macaron places in the lower mainland plus ordered and tried from a lot of the private home based pastry chefs.At the end of the day, I still bring myself back to Bon’s for macarons. Are they the best in taste, quality and price? To be fair, they aren’t the best in each particular category but are one of the better ones in the overall categories and consistent.Here were what I ordered this time around.1. 30pcs assorted box.Overall, the day is always a bit sweeter when bringing home a box of Bon’s macarons to enjoy. I always appreciate the friendly and more personal services especially when the owner is around, giving it that beautiful atmosphere which it does make most things sweeter. Plus most times I am there, they give a free sample on a new flavour. Give them a visit next time you are in Granville Island! BON appetite!!

We passed by their counter while perusing the other shops in the market. The nice lady behind the counter offered my son a mini macaron sample — his favorite flavor. The vanilla flavor really comes through. We ended back at the shop at the end of tour of Granville Island and bought a box of 12. Better value for your money than Laduree. (My husband wants to add that the people at Bon Macaron are less snooty than Laduree as well).

The texture is perfect and they are super cute. Plenty to choose from! Unfortunately, the flavor of the fruity ones were lacking for me. The fruit flavors were very artificial tasting which is rather off-putting. The savory ones were much better. Staff were super kind and friendly.

I loved it!!! I love jackfruit and they have a jackfruit flavour. Their macarons taste good and soft, with a lot of flavours. My favourite are jackfruit, matcha and chocolate. Also not too sweet so I don’t feel too guilty after consuming the whole box

Their macarons are so good, less sweet and more mouthful than Thierry's. Highly recommend trying the alcohol ones or acidic ones or the fun ones like yuzu or fig balsamic
