The portion sizes at this restaurant are quite generous, ensuring that guests feel satisfied after their meal. While the flavors are enjoyable, they don't quite reach the level of being extraordinary or memorable. The pricing aligns with the typical range for dining in Vancouver, making it a reasonable choice for most diners. One notable highlight is the consistently warm and welcoming service; the staff go above and beyond to create a friendly atmosphere that enhances the overall dining experience.

Good food, the place more or less, the service more or less. They offer full or medium dishes for the amount of food they serve, in relation to the price it is well worth it, especially if you order a large dish and share it as well as a pizza and share it.
If I recommend it, the uncomfortable thing is that the tables are mostly shared and it depends on luck whether you enjoy the company or not.

The food was reasonably good, but the customer service was among the worst I've ever experienced. The waitress lacked customer skills, had a sullen expression, and displayed a very poor attitude.

Had a supper prior to surgery. Went very light, so I had a pizza.
Certainly one of the best thin crust pizzas I've had, but certainly not what they are renowned for. Great service great food..

I was disapointed by my experience. I ordered penne arrabiata an spaghetti bolognese. Both sauces were thick with tomato concentrate and both too salty, the arrabiata, or angry, sauce had no heat or kick to it. I think we were the first meal of lunch services and maybe the chef hadn't tasted them. The server scraped our plates at the table in front of my face then passed us a chip and pin terminal with 18% set as the minimum tip for ok service. It was 48$ plus tip for 2 half portions of pasta with no drinks, which feels way too high for a high street lunch. The food was well presented, the restaurant was clean and they had typical italian music playing. The menus were large laminated sheets, cocktails ranged from 10-14$. I tipped 10% on the bill. We were given a small chocolate after leaving.

If the pasta was 50% cheaper I wouldn't have written this review, but with a premium price comes an expectation of high quality. I hope this is a one off because I live close by, and if they offered some kind of lunch menue or deal I would love to have somewere convenient for pasta.

Good food, attentive service, casual atmosphere. The food here is authentic Italian cuisine. You can choose your sauce and the type of pasta you want with it. We had the Gnocchi, and Spaghetti with Pomodoro sauce and the Firenze Linguine, the portions were sizable and the food was delicious. Didn’t feel heavy at all. The only downside is that it is quite pricey for the atmosphere and what you’re getting compared to other really good restaurants in the city and Italian restaurants across Canada, but overall it’s still affordable.

I found it surprisingly expensive for what we got: $35 for a one-person pizza and $30 for a large 1-person pasta.

Large pasta, sure, but not great or true to recipe (spaghetti carbonara) This place used to feel reasonably priced and I have to admit this time around it didn't feel that way.

The food was reasonably good and the staff very friendly, but what made dinner memorable was the bill. I hope they reconsider their quality-price decisions.

We had a wonderful experience at Bonta. The food was amazing, with generous portions at a reasonable price. It feels like a hidden gem in Downtown. I’ll definitely recommend it to anyone looking to experience great Italian cuisine. The service was also warm and personable—definitely a 5-star experience!
