My wife and I went to Botanist to celebrate our anniversary. Everything about our experience at Botanist was excellent. Our server was incredibly friendly and personable. She made us feel welcome and comfortable. The drinks and food were beyond delicious. The ambience was warm and inviting. It also wasn't so loud with other people's conversations and music where it forced you to have to shout. My wife and I will definitely be coming back to celebrate next year's anniversary.

We did the tasting menu, which was over $500, and while the presentation of every dish was absolutely beautiful, the flavors just didn't live up to the visuals. The food was surprisingly lackluster for the price point and the anticipation we had going in. On the positive side, the service was genuinely good—attentive, friendly, and professional. But overall, the experience didn't meet expectations, and unfortunately I don't feel the meal justified the cost.

We had a wonderful experience at Botanist. The service is impeccable, with a very attentive and friendly team, always ready to recommend the best dishes. The beef tartare is outstanding – delicate, full of flavor; the flank steak was cooked to perfection, very tender and juicy; and the lobster risotto is creamy, rich and truly unforgettable. A place that definitely deserves a visit in Vancouver!

The level of detail from cleaning to presenting to explaining to clearing was astounding. Very often overlooked aspects are attended to with the same exacting level of precision as the meal itself.

I really the Thanksgiving brunch at the Botanist. The turkey was well prepared - very tender and tasty. My partner had the prime rib and he really enjoyed. The service staff were friendly and efficient.

Overall fine experience, but there is a lot of competition in town and it's tough to justify coming back here over choosing one of the many other amazing places to eat. We keep wanting it to be great, so come back every year or two to give it another shot, but it seems to never quite shine - especially given the price point. Many parts of the experience seem too try-hard, but the complexity doesn't end up enhancing the final product.
