Top notch. The best breakfast we have had during our stay in Vancouver, hands down. The croissants are flaky and delicious, the eggs fluffy, and they have super fresh smoked salmon. The owners are awesome, hands down. Great coffee. Can't say enough great things about this place, don't miss it!

Wow, Incredible breakfast and coffee in a cozy little spot. Had the Montreal smoked meat bagel and it was mouth watering. Lots of delicious looking pastries and lighter fare. Will be back.

This is a nice little place with a good atmosphere, though the space is quite tight. The person working there (looked like the owner) seemed too busy despite the very low customer count at the time. I had trouble getting answers to my questions. it felt like they just wanted customers to buy without asking anything. When I did get a reply, it was barely audible and getting her to repeat it was a challenge. Regarding the coffee, they use good quality beans, which is a plus. However, the two lattes I ordered tasted good but seemed a bit weak and could have benefited from an extra shot. Love the name!

Breaking bean is an excellent place to eat. Carol makes food that is so delicious. I live in the building above them. I had knee surgery and they were nice enough to bring the food right to my door.
