Folks, urban history tells us that it is easier to ruin a bakery than it is to run a bakery. But with Breka, this inherent challenge seems non-existent. The ease at which this outfit is able to cater to each customer's whim, is able to produce consistent, quality baked goods at scale, and gracefully make the most common cookie seem special and fancy cakes seem accessible is their talent. If this chain were responsible for most baked goods in North America, the people of North America would be the better for it. Items Purchased: Reuben Sandwich - I get these toasted. The Reuben does not quite fill me up when hungry, so you might have to order two. Chocolate Chip Cookie -is really good if ordered earlier in the day, otherwise these tend to harded up approachin nighttime. Apricot? Layer Cake - Nice light cake, Not too sweet Lemon Shortbread Cookie - The Lemon shortbread has a nice tart lemon flavor on a thick cookie base. Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookie - Only the Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookie was disappointing due to the cookie interior being too wet. Butter Croissant - Good crumb but the butter flavor was simply ok. Chicken Pot Pie - Okay. Nothing extraordinary Sandwiches came in a box. I believe the cookies came in a brown paper bag, so did the croissant, I believe.

My brother brought home four of the dessert cakes home for us to try--banoffee tart, passionfruit pistachio ganache tart, matcha cream puff, and earl grey cream puff. The star of the night, and quite possibly my life, was the banoffee tart. I have nothing but good things to say about it.. The sweetness level was perfect for me, the whipped cream was light, the crust was deliciously crispy yet crumbly for my soft mouth. The best tart that's ever graced my tummy.. The passionfruit pistachio ganache tart had that same delicious crust, but the filling was only good (as opposed to great). Just my preference--nothing out of the ordinary and was still a delicious tart. Both cream puffs were really good but I preferred the matcha. Both their creams were really delicious and flavourful, but the solid glaze on top of the matcha was out of this world. However, I would say there was too much cream for me. Texturally, it feels like you're just eating cream as there wasn't enough puff for a good ratio (for me). Can't say anything about service or ambiance since I didn't go physically.

We came very late at night for a dessert treat. The place was super packed even at 8:30 pm. No tables available. Breka is known for 24/7 coffee, sandwiches, desserts and pastries. I have to say they have pretty good selections/varieties. Parking is around the corner in the residential area. I got the Blackberry Lime mascarpone cake. I had to have it to go due to no seating. The cake was delicious. They served it in a nice box. Prices are very reasonable and is a bit less than many of the cake shops nearby. I highly recommend coming to this place and giving it a try. They have couple other locations in town. I think this is the newest location so far. Décor is still new and stylish. It is pretty good if you can find a seat and meat up with friends otherwise you will be waiting for long time for a table. Biggest downfall of this place is the number of tables and the size of the place.

Picked up some desserts to bring home. They were packaged perfectly and made it back home without a single scratch! Our chosen treats tasted absolutely delicious. Huge shoutout to Breka for a job well done!

Got a Tiramisu cake (4-6 persons) for the 5 of us for dessert after dinner. Yummy and even the next day it still tasted good (have leftover because we have 3 desserts altogether!). Next time must try their

We stopped by to get a small piece of cake. Options looked great. We got cappuccino cheese cake and it was tasty. They have a few other locations in town. Can’t comment on the service as we did not eat there. I will add some photos for everyone to review and see what options they have.

I go to breka at least twice a week, and it's usually my go-to spot and I usually have zero issues. However, my recent visit left much to be desired. Today, one of the workers displayed incredibly rude behaviour which was completely out of pocket, making the entire experience unpleasant. Instead of the usual friendly service, I was met with a worker who seemed irritated, uninterested and was just plain rude. When I placed my order, she practically yelled, "What size?" in a tone that was completely uncalled for. This kind of attitude is unacceptable, especially in a service-oriented industry. And just the entire ordering experience from that specific worker was just extremely rude and if I knew her name it would be included. I just know that she had a blue scrunchie in a low bun with a mask and pearl-like earrings. I hope management addresses this issue promptly to ensure that all customers receive the respectful treatment they deserve.AND, my interaction with the worker regarding my order was incredibly frustrating. I specifically requested an iced vanilla latte BLENDED, emphasizing that I wanted it blended and not made as a frappe because my mom finds frappes way to sweet. Despite my repeated explanations, we went back and forth at least FIVE times and she had even repeated my request back to me in the same tone, yet she still proceeded to give me a frappe, completely ignoring my request. Not only was her attitude rude, but the lack of attention to my order preferences was disappointing.(order #43)

Really cool coffee shop / bakery. They have lots of option to choose from, whether that is sweet or savory. Staff are very friendly. The shop is a cool chill vibe, I could see myself coming here every morning to chill and have a coffee. Would like to come back to try some of their other sweets.

This review is for Main Street location! We liked it so much we came back the next day! Items ordered were chocolate blueberry scones, chocolate raspberry scone, chocolate almond croissant, chocolate hazelnut and pistachio donut and Americano. Note, chocolate in everything we ordered! Haha. They were all delicious, bakery had good ambience and vibe. Staff were attentive and quick. They really need more locations...... other than just in Vancouver! Customer for life!!
