Wish I knew about this bar sooner it was instantly my favourite bar when i walked through the door. The Brickhouse offers an ambiance that effortlessly combines the nostalgic charm of classic pub games with the welcoming warmth of a beloved local bar. While the pool table, dartboard, and vintage Pac-Man machine stand ready for friendly competition, it's the bar itself and the delightful Irish bartender who truly define the experience. Though I havent met the famous Leo yet, the warm, funny, charming Irish bartender I met filled the bar with his engaging conversation and quick friendly service. I'd return just for the service but the bar its self is a cozy work of art. Everyone was so friendly it felt like an oasis from the regular Vancouver vibe. It felt like visiting old family. The Brickhouse isn't just a place to grab a drink; it's a haven where every visit feels like coming home to old friends, with laughter and stories flowing as freely as the perfectly poured drinks. Cheers to the Brickhouse, I'll see you there soon!

The owner/bartender is quite something! Bit of a lunatic and refused to make the shots we wanted, insisted on making whatever he wanted and we have no idea what was in it.

This is a film industry hang out. I've seen and met some famous people here. A must stop for networking and a great party most nights. Talk to Leo. He's the best connection in town!

Doorman was drunk. ID'd my partner's mom in her 60's. Didn't give her a tag for her bag and then proceeded to get mad at her for asking him for a tag. Was extremely rude to my whole group of friends. Wouldn't recommend the service and initial experience to anyone. Our whole group left because we were uncomfortable. Boo.

They literally watch their fish dying in the tank. They have no water in the tank. Once we brought it up the owner of the bar he tried to fight us physically. We left. It was absolutely disgusting. Please don’t visit this place.

Probably the diviest of Vancouver's dive bars. It's the kind of place you'll either love or dislike to a degree that you might want to leave as soon as you step in. There's a pool table, Christmas lights strewn around, interesting paraphernalia, an aquarium built into the wall, and very limited seating. Know the crowd you're taking before you go. If they're good with grungy places, you might have a fine night. This place is best as the last stop of your night, but be warned -- there might not be seating when you arrive. The "seating area" is not designed to accommodate large parties. Think of it like a basement with a couch, a few small tables, and perhaps some stools. If you were hoping for a place to sit down and chat with your circle of buddies, this is probably not that place. Standing against the wall might be your best bet, or crowded around the pool table. It might take forever to order a drink from the old Asian bartender behind the bar. (He was wearing a shirt that said "iPood" with a guy squatting on a toilet.) He does not take any crap from patrons and I respect that.I'm giving an objective review, but I have to say, I love this place. The Brickhouse might be too ratty for you, but for those who love it, we love it.

Brick house was a divey and chill bar to come to on a late Weds night. Leo is such a fun and generous bartender who went out of his way to accommodate for us after coming in late. The bar was accompanied by regulars that made us feel welcome. Wish we could’ve stayed longer, but plan to come back soon!

If you want an awesome dive bar in Vancouver… this is the place. Leo and the supporting staff are INCREDIBLE. Will be back!

If your looking to pick up a bed bug, this is the place for you.; the cushions and seats are as old as time and ripped and duct tapped. The older Asian bartender seemed friendly enough srt first until I asked him to put on music to dround out the vacuuming and he declined even before the bar closed. Then, when I tried to play music from my phone, he demanded I shut it off. I can only assume that he has worked there for years and years and feels entitled to shut the bar down before closing time. The entire experience made my skin crawl and lacked the slightest remnese of customer service.

Small, funky little bar on downtown Main Street. Great before/after dinner spot.

It is an old dive bar which needs to be cleaned, have everything replaced and updated. It lacks a working front door, and a health inspection or five not only for the bar but the couches that belong in quarantine.

Amazing little bar, great atmosphere, very relaxed. You can pay by cash or open a tab with a card which was very easy as well, there are pool tables and couches as well.

It was my first time visiting such an authentic place in heart of vancouver.the atmosphere is very cozy and chill. looks like ther are many regular people visiting here and everyone knows the bartender and eachother. there is 9ball pool table if you want to play with your friends as well.definitely worth trying something in contrarty with most of the bars you see in town and that is the culture and the vibe.Parking: in the late evenings, there is usually street parking available within a block from the place.
