I booked a reservation for 5 at 6:15pm on a Saturday. My daughter and I had tickets to a show at Arts Club that started at 7:30pm so we knew it was going to be tight but was booked earlier. We were also celebrating my son's birthday. We arrived at 6:10 and checked in. The girl at the computer said ‘thanks, we will be seating you closer to your registered reservation time, please wait over there'. Ok cool. So we went and stood to the side. While we waited, every other group that came in, some that were parties of 5, were seated promptly. We didn't know their times, so we said nothing. Then at about 6:25 I went up to the desk and asked a guy what the hold up was and informed him we had to get a show. The woman appeared and said there was a system error with their reservations so they were having to do everything by hand...ummm, ok? You clearly looked on the computer to find my name when I came at 6:10...what gives. The woman then got on her headset and I could hear someone say ‘that table might be leaving soon'. Then the guy said ‘sorry, we just don't have anything right now'. What the heck?? I made these reservations well in advance! We were asked to wait and were told by the girl that we would be top priority and get the next table. It was now after 6:30pm. About 5 minutes later group of 5 came in and approached the desk and spoke to the same woman. They were asked to follow a hostess and seated. I went up again and said ‘what is happening here? We've been waiting for our 6:15pm reservation. You said we were top priority and you've just seated that reservation?' She said ‘sorry, what's your name?' 😡 She looked us up and said ‘oh, sorry...that was my mistake. I'll be sure you get the next table. We didn't get sat until 6:45pm and zero compensation or apology. We had to rush our order, eat dinner fast to make the show and no time for dessert or to enjoy being with the rest of the family. Extremely disappointed by the non-chalant attitude at the front. Ruined our evening.

The restaurant was very busy and reservation times were missed but the staff worked hard to seat guests. Food was excellent and good value. The closed in outdoor patio was very noisy!

We had an awesome lunch, it was a staff event and everyone at the restaurant was very good. Right from the moment we walked in the door the service was spectacular. My wife had a back injury and the staff made sure she was comfortable. The food was great, we had a wonderful day. Thank you

Great place to have Brunch on a Saturday morning. Our Waiter ' Liam ' was very professional ( Clearly An Asset To Bridges)

A good menu and we were nicely served. My soup arrived cold, and I had to send it back. It was returned in a reasonable amount of time and it was hot. Squid was 'extended' with a whole lot of peppers: more than half the plate.

Our server, Torbin, was amazing. Super attentive and friendly. He took care of our large group. Very personable. The outdoor covered area was perfect for our party as it allowed us to mingle with drinks in between the food. Will come back!

Spent 3 hours with a family member catching up after a year. The service and attention was outstanding. With the Bluejays playing. Ideal seating. Seafood appies and dinner was worth the trip into Vancouver on a rainy blustery day.

Our server Emily was lovely. As usual, the hummus and flatbread was delicious. Great to have bottles of wine half price during happy hour now - we'll be back often!

It's the third time dining at Tap & Barrel, and we had happy hour and dinner there yesterday. Ambience and view at the podium was amazing. In terms of food, the chicken wings were absolutely delicious, so does the seafood chowder. The cocktail jumbo prawn was good. The steak was unfortunately subpar and rubber like, even my husband asked for rare. I ordered lobster mac and cheese, which was unexpectedly a pasta dish which I would avoid. Our server approached us with no smile initially. She took away our plates without asking.

We visited Bridges Tap and Barrel on Sunday July 13. I had made a reservation for seven people on OpenTable. I expected to be seated at the reservation time since I arrived to the restaurant on time and when we arrived, we were not seated for 15 minutes. Instead, we were taking from table to table as the hostess had no idea where to see us even though the restaurant was half empty. I was traveling with a guest from Toronto, who recently had knee surgery so it was difficult for him to go up and down the stairs several times. I explained this to the host, but he dismissed our concerns. There was no apology for this. Once we were seated, our server was quick to get our drinks and food orders placed. We enjoyed the food but just wish that our experience at the beginning was much better. I would recommend the halibut cakes and the veggie falafel burger.
