We went here for a dinner as we were walking around Granville Island looking for a place to feed our family. They graciously found us a table even though we had not booked. I was not expecting great food as it is a tourist location and generally these places can be substandard as they can get away with poor food and service in these busy tourist locations. Boy was I surprised. The server was excellent, and the food amazing. I thought it might be just a one off, and as we had family from out of town for a week I thought, let's try it again for another family event. No it was not a one off. The service and food again was so good, I can't wait to go back. Running a restaurant well takes a team that is a well oiled machine, so many factors go into making it a enjoyable night for the customer it is rare that you find a place that gets all of it right. Tap and Barrel have been able to achieve this and I tip my hat to them. They do it in style without being arrogant or pretentious.... I can't stand those snobby restaurants that are too cool for school. I have worked in Michelin Star restaurants and I consider myself a foodie, I am depressed if I waste a meal on something I didn't enjoy. I would like to thank all the staff at Tap and Barrel, keep up the great work!

SO good! We flew to Vancouver for the day with some friends in a private jet and I convinced our party to take an Uber and head to Granville Island. I have been there many times and I always wanted to try BRIDGES Tap & Barrell and IT.WAS.AMAZING! We were a group of 10 and Mattie the hostess was so accommodating. She had a lovely long table set up for us and as our group began to congregate after shopping, they all loved that we were all together and right by the marina and water...beautiful view! Alessandra was our server and she was lovely! The food was fantastic and generous portions...it was hard to choose from their diverse menu. I wanted to try every meal that came out haha. Definitely coming back next time we are in the big V. Most of our friends had never been to Granville Island and they all loved the shops but the lunch spot was definitely the highlight. We stayed for 4 hours, noon - 4:00 p.m. visiting, eating, drinking and then it was time to Uber back to the airport and fly home to AB...but we sure settled right in... hard to leave this lovely restaurant after a most amazing day. We had a little toddler with us and he was free to run around and explore. Thank you Tap and Barrel for wonderful service, view and food...just absolutely perfect!

Brought my kids there before seeing a play on Granville island:Servers were warm and welcoming and very accommodating for my children. Food was delicious all around and came out in good timing, we had plenty of time to get to our play afterwards.

I like tap and barrel in that bridges location. The view is great and the food is reliable and tasty. I always get the quinoa bowl and my friends love the lettuce wraps and the truffle mushroom Mac n cheese. You can’t really go wrong there. Highly recommend.

The noise level was deafening, I could barely hear the 3 people I was with. There was a table in front of our booth with a pile of people who apparently thought this was a daycare centre.The service was decent.I ordered an ahi tuna burger and caesar salad. Both were completely taste-free.I would tell you if my friends liked their food but I couldn’t hear them.A miserable experience. I won’t be back.

We walked in, no reservation, and were seated quickly. Waited 7 minutes for someone to acknowledge us. Couldn't understand our server's name, as he mumbled and was in a hurry to get somewhere else. Drinks arrived, food order taken. Food arrived in good time and was delicious. But no more service. No "How's your meal so far?" "Can I get you another drink?" We were completely ignored for 35 minutes. Just as I was about to ask the hostess where we should pay another server came over and asked if we'd like another drink. Not bloody likely. Left a $1.00 tip. Probably won't ever go back. The place wasn't even busy.

We dined outside that had a wonderful view of the harbor. The fish & chips were great, as were the seafood pasta and the fried pickles appetizer.
