I heard this place is busy all the time so I got there just before 11:30 am and got a table right away. Food tasted good, big portions and reasonable prices. The staff were friendly and efficient. The place is small but well renovated. I will definitely come back again. Highly recommended!

The service was quick and organized.The food menu was somewhat confusing.The food itself was okay. The breakfast combo was good. Egg dish and soup combo for breakfast. The beef satay soup was just good. The egg and chicken omelet was not good, needed seasoning. French toast was pretty good. And half coffee and half milk tea was a good combo. Overall, it was average.My SO ordered peppercorn sauce steak and rice combo. The tomato soup was good. But the actual peppercorn beef was not good. Not enough pepper flavour and the beef was large but had a lot of inedible parts.

Ordered takeout from Uber eats. I have a peanut allergy, so I wrote that down for every item in the notes. I ended up going to the emergency room and having a serious allergic reaction (anaphylaxis) after having a few bites of the brisket curry. Don’t serve food if you don’t know what’s in it. Unacceptable, do not eat here if you have allergies cause they will not take it seriously.

First time at BT as I was stuck in traffic. Heard tons of great things over the years. Seems like they had recently renovated the interior. Service was warm and very prompt. Had the Baked Porkchop Cutlet on rice and milk tea. Milk tea was great, the entree wasn't greasy and was very filling.

BT Cafe is very easy to miss when driving, surprised when I popped in to wait out traffic, it was nicely renovated and very clean. The staff were friendly and very efficient. Tried their Baked pork chop cutlet on fried rice with tomato sauce (a classic). It was good. Or others would say "ok" . The dish is very filling, I've never had a sauce so thick in consistency. I'd probably try other items if I were back. HK style milk tea was very good with a very clean after taste, and no residual bitter tannins considering the tea was flavourful. Cash only.

Long time not having lunch here. I and my wife, just two of us, take a break here in the middle of today. Small place but nice, so not a while all the tables are occupied. We had chow mein and duck's leg rice noddle (kind of limited number of dish). Taste are okay. Prices are normal. ($18.95 & 13.5)Hope in this high inflation environment, nice foods can please everyone. Life some time is not easy, hang on.

Best HK Cafe (ChaChanTang) in Vancouver.The above statement is for Vancouver, probably Burnaby too but excludes Richmond aka Mini Hong Kong.There just aren’t many CCTs in Vancouver and certainly none with the consistency, value and taste of BT. Most dishes I’ve tried, and there are many, have been very solid Cantonese and HK style food. Many of the dishes will include a free hot drink (try the HK style milk tea) or soup of the day. There is a small upcharge of 50 cents to change to a cold drink (try cold HK style milk tea or lemon tea).A popular menu item is the mixed grill which allows you to select up to 3 different meats from the expansive list. Craving pork chop? Chicken steak? Deep fried battered fish fillet? You can have it all! The combo also comes with a drink, rice or spaghetti and a choice of sauce.If you don’t feel like being such a carnivore you can always have fried rice, chow mein, soup noodles or try one of the baked rice or spaghetti offerings.Whatever you end up ordering it’ll be tasty and a good value for sure.
