This place is truly magical. Sitting at the bar was such a comfortable and warming experience. Watching the chefs at work showed how much care and expertise goes into every bite. Delicious, perfectly seasoned, intriguing and visually a wow! The radicchio menu is my favourite moon menu.

I came here for my birthday and was really disappointed, especially for a Michelin-star restaurant. The space was very small and quite dark, which wasn’t what I expected. We ordered the tasting menu with one add-on and wine/non-alcohol pairings, and the total came to over $800 — but the food was honestly underwhelming. Most dishes were bland with no memorable flavors, except for one tomato dish. Portions were tiny and not plated in a way that matched Michelin standards.
The service was polite, but the pacing felt very slow, which made the small portions feel even heavier. Later at home, both my boyfriend and I ended up with mild stomach aches. Overall, this experience didn’t match the price or the Michelin reputation, and I left feeling really disappointed.

This is the worst 1K spent ever. I came to try the Tasting menu with 6 dishes and ordered a couple of other dishes along with the wine pairings. Honestly, I don’t like any of the dishes, portion size is very small, and the wine pairings are not good either. I would say you could come for the experience but if you are looking to have a good meal with good wine pairings, I wouldn’t recommend !

I've been here a few times. There are around 6 different menus a year and I've enjoyed some more than others. I think it's important to note it is usually vegetable forward menu and leans towards a more New Nordic style so flavours are understated and there is less wow moments that you might expect from a 1 star Michelin. That said for me personally every dish we had was executed well even if I didn't like all the flavour profiles.
For sure get the savory eclairs and I think for a tasting experience it is worth the 165 a person. The desserts are always intriguing and fun. The portions are small and I think for some people that aren't use to a tasting menu that isn't protein heavy they may be disappointed.
The service is exceptional with friendly but very educated and helpful staff. The atmosphere is casual which I personally like but if you are looking for a more formal experience, this isn't it.

We dined in many Michelin star restaurants worldwide, this one was overpriced value vise. Menu mostly contained vegetables, premium wine pairing’s wine weren’t sophisticated, you could add protein like wagu to your food and pay for it separately. We were 2 and ended up paying around 1000$ ( with tip), people should know thisbefore they go there

What can I say about this place? This was truly one of the most memorable nights of my life! My wife and I came for her birthday and sat at the bar, with a full view of the food being prepared. We also chose the wine pairing with the tasting menu.
Now, as someone who doesn’t really appreciate wine, I’ve always wanted to try a proper wine pairing — and I’m so glad I chose Burdock for my first experience. They were amazing. The sommelier, Maisie, really knows her stuff. She explained the reasoning behind each pairing and showed such genuine passion for both the wine and the food.
We were lucky enough to visit on a night when Chef Andrea was in the restaurant. She didn’t make herself known to guests — just quietly sat at the back, helped with plating, assisted with prep, and even polished some cutlery and glasses. Seeing someone so accomplished helping out wherever needed, without micromanaging, was fantastic to witness.
Thank you to the whole team for being great at what you do!

Haven’t took pictures of the food as it was delicious and found it would disrupt the cosy atmosphere. The seasonal menu inspired by the radicchio was delicious from start to finish, with the ability to tailor your tasting menu for different appetite levels. The chefs ability to curate as entire menu with one ingredient at the centre, while keeping every dish different from the last was impressive. The service was warm and attentive, they made us feel at home on our trip to Vancouver. It would be impossible to award a score under 5.

I walked in with no reservation and only waited 30 minutes on a Friday night. I intended on coming for the a la carte menu and debated the tasting menu. The waitress helped me decide on the right choice and everything was delicious. Several occasions including a birthday and an anniversary occurred while I was dining. The restaurant made it special- dropping off desserts with special touches that made it seem unique and personal. I would love to celebrate with them.
When I dropped the contents of my purse all over the floor another server jumped in to help me pick up my items. I would recommend this restaurant to all my family and friends and hope to be back soon. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

As always Burdock was awesome! Incredible new menu is indicative of the well deserved Michelin Star for the 4th year in a row. Every course was fantastic and the fried chicken is a must have, and has been on the menu for 13 years ! Service was impeccable and wine was exceptional

We celebrated our wedding anniversary at Burdock and Co, and it was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we walked in, the team made us feel truly special. The service was warm, attentive, and seamless. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable and lovely, guiding us through the menu with genuine enthusiasm.
The food? Unreal. Every dish was a masterclass in flavour and balance, showcasing thoughtful ingredients and bold creativity. You could taste the care in every bite.
A highlight of the evening was getting to chat with the owner, who was so kind and welcoming. It added a personal touch that made the experience even more memorable.
If you’re looking for a place that delivers impeccable food, heartfelt service, and a sense of occasion, Burdock and Co is it. We left feeling celebrated, nourished, and already planning our next visit.

padrón peppers (26) / savoury éclairs (23) / sturgeon moon tasting menu (165) - scallop, charred corn risotto, pork collar, lamb saddle, uni gelato, sour cherry sakura, nougat / seeds of virtue pu'erh ripe (12)
I had a tasting menu and the sauces were too strong. They didn’t feel new or creative and tasted like something I’ve had before. The portions were so small that it felt like they were trying to save on ingredient costs. I would have preferred a bigger main dish instead of getting two desserts for no clear reason since it just felt like a cost cutting move.
They said the sourdough bread was house-baked, so I ordered it, but once it cooled down a bit, it became really tough. I personally grow my own sourdough starter and bake at home, and it felt like they microwaved it to warm it up and then lightly torched it before serving. If that’s not the case, I think it would be good to experiment with a way of baking and serving it so that the bread doesn’t get tough even after it cools.
After $165 per person, the bread and two glasses of wine, (plus tax and tip) the bill came to almost $420 for two. It was not worth it at all. I honestly do not know how this place got a Michelin star. I will not go back unless I hear that they've significantly improved.

We are visiting from California and had one of the most memorable meals last night. The wine pairings were phenomenal, elevating each course in surprising and delightful way. The food was outstanding, and the team is perfect balance of professionalism and laid-back warmth. The atmosphere felt just right. Californians approve :)) Bravo to the whole team! 👏🏻

Michelin Guide restaurants in Vancouver can be a hit or miss, but Burdock & Co was fantastic! We were the first to arrive after they opened and the staff was attentive from beginning to end, which can be rare especially as things get busier. The ambience was great as the restaurant didn't become unbearingly loud despite a full house as well.
As expected, each dish was explained in detail and everything was simply delicious. The star of the entire meal, however, must've been the starter tomato salad (that wasn't on the menu)! I have never tasted tomatoes so sweet and fresh before! I highly recommend trying this dish if it's still available.
To wrap things up, I must give a special shoutout to our server, Elizabeth. She was warm and friendly right from the start and her attention to detail prevented a catastrophe. The restaurant was very accommodating of my allergies for each course, but it was her sense to check on the petit four that saved the evening. Thank you, Elizabeth!
