Omg I had guests for the night so I got a selection of pastries. They are so good. Everything we tried we loved soft and flaky and crispy.

If you’re looking for an amazing dining experience with a chill vibe in an intimate setting, this is the place! One of my favourite places!Love the ever-changing curated menus filled with seasonal delights! The food is incredible and always so beautifully plated. A treat for all the sense. The staff is also amazing! Their knowledge of the food and the wines truly makes the experience special each time! I was there last night and am already looking forward to my next visit!

I'm not sure if it would receive a Michelin star at all if it wasn't in Canada/Vancouver to be honest, but it was still great. There was just nothing very particularly special about anything. It was good, but nothing surprised me or impressed me.All the staff were friendly and knowledgeable.

This was our favourite meal of 2023. I can’t understand the bad reviews at all - the food was exceptional, drinks were great, and atmosphere was perfect. I can only think people are coming here expecting white tablecloths and silver service. It isn’t that vibe, but if you’re looking for an exceptional meal, interesting food with true provenance in aesthetic surroundings then this is your place

I have been to many Michelin starred restaurants and this was, by far, the worst. I took my husband there for his birthday as he is a sommelier, wine maker and amazing cook and this was listed on the Michelin guide as a one star. Not impressed from the start. Decor was minimal, tables very close together and set menu only. Not in the best part of town, no view.My main problem was the 4 hairs I found in the second course. The first one was on the side of my fork and I picked it off and thought it was probably an anomaly, you know - maybe it was mine, wasn't really IN the food. But the second and third ones were right in the food. I had to dig them out of my mouth after I swallowed. The fourth one I dug out with my toothbrush after I got home.I kept trying to salvage the dinner and keep smiling as my husband was really wanting to enjoy it. I gave up eating as I couldn't enjoy the food, kept gagging, feeling like I was going to find another hair.So they comped one appy for my disastrous find.We spent almost $600 and I just can't see why they have 4.3 stars. I have tried to think about this dispassionately and even without the hair in my food I would have said it was only ok. Not great, not amazing, just ok.Save your money, not worth it.

Yech....... Small, boring, tables to close together, no artwork, nothing to give the restaurant any character. Food was mediocre.... at least until I found the hairs in my food in the 2nd course. The first hair I saw on my fork. I let it go as it wasn't in my food, could have been my hair, etc.... But the 2nd and 3rd I dug out of my mouth as I was chewing the food. The 4th hair I dug out at home with my toothbrush. I tried to eat the net course, but ...... yech. I really tried to put up a good front as I didn't want to ruin my husband's experience, but yech...... Almost $600 for 2 fixed menu, 1 high end wine pairing. Not even close to worth it. I have been to many Michelin restaurants all over the world. This one doesn't come close to even my least favourite.

We were hesitant to try this restaurant due to mixed reviews, but we decided to go without a reservation, and guess what? It was simply exceptional. The place is cozy and very intimate, with a view of the kitchen. The service is truly remarkable, with perfect explanations. We benefited from great wine recommendations. The service was very attentive, and everyone seemed passionate about what they were doing. As for the food, it was absolutely remarkable. We opted for the $125 menu. It's worth noting that the menu changes every two months with a different theme, and this month it was citrus-themed. Everything was perfectly orchestrated. All the flavors were there. You can really feel that there is a lot of work behind it. I have to say that this restaurant has earned a place on my favorites list in Vancouver.

Burdock & Co is a singular dining experience: it's perhaps my favourite restaurant in Vancouver; their food is magic/alchemy > cooking; this is a place where time stands still...you don't notice that 2 hrs just drifted by. I can't speak more highly of this place if I wanted to. I TREASURED celebrating my birthday at Burdock & Co last night!

Burdock & Co rotates a seasonal tasting menu so every time you go, you are bound to get different ingredients and dish concepts which is pretty exciting. I liked the theme of the restaurant and also the friendly service. I was seated at the chef's table which I loved and the atmosphere was very intimate (the chair was high up and a bit wobbly but it is a trade off I am willing to make). The theme of my menu was `citrus scented rain under a Snow Moon` which I thought was particularly poetic. I also appreciate how the waitress took her time to explain the sourcing of the ingredients as all the citrus were locally grown through hydroponics which was really cool. While I thought the cooking was good, I think that there were only two dishes in the tasting menu I enjoyed (probably because I didn't love the actual ingredients so much) so that's just the risk of going through with a tasting menu. For example, I don't like beets so the beets course was just ok to me. I thought that the citrus sauce was a bit too overwhelming. The pommes Anna was good and probably my favorite aside from dessert. All the other courses were just ok too me and I didn't like the bison main course as much. Overall, I had a good experience and would come back depending on the next tasting menu.

Burdock & Co is always a pleasure, but do not miss their current citrus menu. It was especially wonderful and the fact that they use all local citrus is a treat.

Burdock has remained my favourite restaurant for coming up on 10 years! It’s everything I want in a dining experience; incredible and creative food, perfect wine pairings, intimate ambiance, and elegant service. I always leave enchanted and satiated. 10/10
