The welcome waitress is so looking down the person, even though the restaurant is really busy. I just asked how long to wait. At least she could tell me the estimated waiting time, But she just looked at me and say anything. She also can be kindly to refuse me. I don't understand why l have to be under this pressure. I live in canada pass twenty years and never feel this so much deep discrimination.

genuinely the WORST dining experience i have ever had. AVOID going here for group bookings.

we called ahead and were told that there would be vegan options available on the fixed menu. when we arrived, the manager informed us that there was in fact NO vegan option but that we would still have to pay full price for the fixed menu. they were not flexible or apologetic at all for failing to accommodate us, and did not even offer anything to make the meal worth the price we were paying.

i ended up being FORCED to pay $100 for a dry salad with no dressing and a tofu bowl. if purchased à la carte, this meal would have cost 1/4 of the price. i understand that not every restaurant can accommodate dietary restrictions perfectly, but forcing someone to pay $100 for a $25 meal is disgusting and exploitative.

will NOT be coming back.

Walked to this location from Canada Place for early dinner and it was a treat. The views here are amazing, the atmosphere is great and the food is delicious and presented so well. Staff is nice and friendly. Definitely one of the nicer Cactus Club experiences I've had.

This was probably the worst cactus experience we’ve ever had. We came to celebrate a birthday at around 9pm. It was busy but no excuse for bad service. They should expect to be busy during weekend evenings.
We ordered all our food at the same time. Our appeys came out in 20 minutes which wasn’t bad, then mains came out 20-25 minutes later. Only half the mains came out, 2 people were waiting for their food for another 20-25 minutes. Food is supposed to be ready at the same time. At every other cactus I’ve been to this has never happened. At that point we just asked for boxes and the bills since we were in a rush. We didn’t even have time to eat the cake we brought in! Nothing from them to celebrate birthday, I work at joeys and we always give a birthday dessert or drink. Not sure if it was just our servers personality but he also seemed kinda annoyed which made the experience not so great as well. He also saw us looking and ordering off the happy hour menu and didn’t think to tell us it started at 10 pm not 9 pm (most cactus is 9-12 daily but this one is 10-12 on fridays and saturdays). When the bills came we were obviously confused on why he wouldn’t let us know…
Anyways I wish all tips could go to the kitchen because the food was delicious

Some may think this is a touristy thing to do to dine at this location, but honestly, the view from the dining area is sensational during sunset, with impeccably hospitable and professional service. Whilst food did take a while to come out (main before appys), it was more than compensated by their taste and portion.

The spice on the creole chicken will be dreamt of for a long while to come!

Always have the blackened chicken with mash potatoes and asparagus. It was visually appealing and the textures were the perfect combination.
Today I returned from my long travels and went straight to Cactus Club for blackened chicken with mash potatoes and asparagus, and 3 Long Island ice teas. My go to meal once a week for 4 years.
Returning to Vancouver, I was disappointed to see the perfectly cooked asparagus was replaced by cheap, bland broccolini - something you’d expect to see in a shopping mall food court - not a Cactus Club!
The taste was bland. Clearly a cheap replacement. Even the texture of the broccolini was horrible. I’ll spare social media the photos but I will say that was my last visit. All good things come to an end - even your food.

We ate here as a party of 8 and really enjoyed our meal. The view of the harbor is great! Staff are friendly and accommodating. Took a while to get our food but it came out nice and fresh, and our drink orders came out right away. Would recommend this place if you want to eat at the harbor.

I have never experienced such poor treatment in Vancouver before. We went without a reservation and simply asked if there was any seating available. The hostess told us there was space outside at the moment. I went to the washroom, and a few minutes later my boyfriend called me saying, “Come, we’re leaving. They literally treated me like I’m homeless. The small table she showed me didn’t even have a chair, and her attitude was terrible. She kept saying, ‘Stand here, no not there, stand further,’ and her facial expression was so disrespectful and condescending. I don’t want to stay here! We’re leaving.”

I said “okay,” and while we were walking out, I saw an empty two-person table. I asked the other hostess, “Does this table have a reservation?” She replied, “I think so,” without any interest or effort. When I said, “Okay, thank you, we’re leaving,” she just said, “That’s okay,” when she should have said “sorry,” which made me even more uncomfortable.

Because of this rude and careless attitude, we will not be coming back to this Cactus Club location, and we will be sharing this experience with the people around us.
