Who the hell puts salsa sauce in a roast beef and cheese ciabatta sandwich!?!? Without calling it a roast beef and salsa sandwich...WTH? And oh yeah it's about the size of a McDouble with 1/2 the meat for 3 times the price!

Shame on you for taking advantage of people desperate for food in a hospital setting!

The food is pretty decent but the prices, I understand have to reflect the growing cost of inflation, are abit high...like every other hospital coffee shop in BC.

Ordered a matcha latte but the taste is very blend and not worth the price imo. so I asked for an extra pump of vanilla syrup and they are asking to charge me ONE DOLLAR ($0.95)for that. My drink is $5 and a $1 to get syrup is VERY expensive and unacceptable.

This is the restaurant in Vancouver General Hospital and it would be churlish to be critical. Small selection of food, very spacious and comfortable surroundings including couches. Good cappuccino. Better than most hospital cafeterias.

I’m so glad they renovated the place and expanded the menu—it’s like a cozy little upgrade! There are plenty of seats, and I love that they’re nicely spaced out. Ever since they reopened, I haven’t stepped foot in Starbucks—Cafe Ami has completely stolen my heart! Their sandwiches and lattes are absolutely delicious.

And seeing Maddy when I order? It’s the cherry on top! She always brightens my morning and makes the start of my day feel extra special. She’s truly a gem—Cafe Ami is lucky to have her!

Decent place and variety of food items. Staff was quick and attentive. There's a good amount of seating from tables and chairs to booths and even couches. Interior design has great detail. Very nicely designed. I'm happy to have a place to go to instead of going back down the hill and over a few blocks to grab something. It's open early. It was the perfect spot as I waited for my appointment time.

Ami Café at Vancouver General Hospital is a delightful little spot to grab a coffee. The coffee here is exceptionally smooth, which is a highlight for any coffee enthusiast. The café's environment is also notably comfortable, providing a cozy escape that feels welcoming, especially if you’re looking to unwind during a busy day.

While the quality of both the coffee and the desserts is impressive, be prepared for the prices, which are a tad high. Although this might be expected given its location within a hospital setting, it’s something to keep in mind if you're budget-conscious.

Despite the prices, the overall atmosphere and quality of the beverages make Ami Café a great place to relax and recharge. It’s definitely a go-to for a good coffee break at VGH.

Very small coffee that is called a large, and it was $3.45. The coffee also tasted like water. Full display of baked goods, but this is a terrible place taking advantage of the poor people with no other option in a hospital. I do not recommend this place, and I will never be back.

Staff are nice but gave smoothie to my husband it's more like juice and serrated not worth 7$.

Not cheap, but this cream cheese brownie is a lifesaver when you want something sweet, but not too sticky! It's worth every penny when you treat yourself once in a while!
