Poor coffee quality and over priced for what you receive. Closes too early for on call hospital staff overnight. Sad that VGH doesn't have better cafe and one that remains open overnight.
Edit: From what I could see the next day I didn't notice gluten free options still so they must go fast. I can say that my family enjoyed the baked goods though, so those are just fine if you don't have gluten issues. When a coffee is made that poorly it tends to be a lack of experience or understanding around brewing espresso. This is the restaurant in Vancouver General Hospital and it would be churlish to be critical. Small selection of food, very spacious and comfortable surroundings including couches. Good cappuccino. Better than most hospital cafeterias.
