Café Ami

Similar to the Cafe Ami at VGH, but I think this location is cozier and with less glaring "surgical" bright lights than VGH. Prices are high for what the items are, but the prime location is what brings me back (along with those sinfully delicious cream cheese brownies).

Coffee is adequate. Food is horrendous. The sandwich had apples and GINGER in it!?!? Who in their right mind puts GINGER, SLICED GINGER IN A SANDWICH!?!?!?

Service was terrible. Was served by a male who looked like he’d rather be anywhere but at that job. The other women were kind and polite.

I do enjoy the atmosphere/seating environment and the service was friendly, however my Americano misto was incredibly weak in coffee flavour and the turkey egg white wrap was tasteless and dry, you definitely have to add salsa and hot sauce. $$

The best drip coffee (black) on campus. I was surprised! I will start to go here on the daily for drip coffee (the only type of coffee I drink). Now I didn’t order any food because it looks very factory-mass produced like Starbucks, and that isn’t how I eat.
But their drip coffee is good and strong!

The salmon chowder was good, but since the soups are on rotation, I can't guarantee it'll ever come back. The sausage roll would be a lot better if it was toasted and not microwaved. The London Fog was good. Smoothies are really expensive so I haven't tried it despite being interested. Overall, everything is pretty okay.

Love coming here for a quick pick me up! The barista Fateh has amazing customer service and was so helpful . I was able to order and get my drink fast even though it was busy.

The coffee was… fine. The service was probably some of the worst I’ve ever received? No “hello”, no “what can I get for you”. Literally the only words the barista said were “$3.85”. I’m not usually one to write bad reviews and I get people have bad days but this was… abysmal as far as customer service

You ever walk into a coffee shop and think to yourself "oh boy, you know what would be REALLY funny? A holiday themed fat joke because I believe being fat is funny and something people should feel bad about! Merry Christmas!!", and then you look up and see that someone with a brain brimming with even more comedic brilliance than yours has already thought of it?? Well I did, and if I hadn't of been so busy laughing at this knee slapper I might have been upset I didn't think of it first! LOL someone give whoever thought up this incredibly smart idea a RAISE!! I hope that everyone accessing the Djavad Mowafaghian Centre for Brain Health gets a chance to come through this cafe and laugh at the concept of being fat before their appointments! Except if they're fat HA HA HA

Service was brisk but polite. Unfortunately the coffee was just not good. There's plenty of significantly better cafes very close by, unless you're having something with a lot of syrups to mask the coffee you'll be much better off walking to them.

I had the best caramel macchiato here! It was made by the shorter male barista and he was super friendly and helped pick out my new favourite drink. Will definitely be back as this was my best cafe experience !

Size of coffee cups are too small as per the price they are charging and service is very poor. The guy who served me have no sense of customer service. Though coffee tastes good.
