PLEASE DO NOT ORDER THE CROQUE MADAME OR CROQUE MONSIEUR AND EXPECT A POOR SERVICE!! I've had this dish a thousand times at other French restaurants in Vancouver and other cities, and the one at Salad de Fruits is a joke. Superstore bread (dry, not even grilled or barely pan-seared), no sauce, microscopic amounts of cheese. Low quality ingredients and no seasoning. Honestly, my 8-year-old could have done a similar sandwich a thousand times better himself. This was a mediocre meal over $25, so the food was HUGELY disappointing! Aditionally, the waiter, a young gentleman with a strong French accent, didn't come to ask how the food was at all, which bugged me because I was seriously considering sending the dish back to the kitchen. At the end of the meal, when we asked for the check, he obviously noticed I'd barely touched the sandwich and still didn't ask if everything was OK, even when I turned down the to-go box.

Excellent food and great service. And great pricing. Will definitely come back and recommend to others.

A wonderful dinner with family celebrating time together. Enjoyed the 3 course dinner - tasty cauliflower soup, delicious halibut with a pesto sauce, 2 scallops, veggies and rice .... Yummy chocolate mousse for dessert. We all enjoyed the best service ... an amazing evening. Thank you. Frances

Yesterday, I went to this restaurant for a date night with my boyfriend. I must say, every single dish had a specific and unique taste. Everything was different and tasted absolutely delicious, unique, and special. I really loved it. I usually don’t consider soup as food, but even the starter – a cauliflower soup – was amazing. It was creamy and incredibly delicious. The main course was phenomenal, and the dessert was so yummy. My taste buds were in seventh heaven! The vibe of the restaurant and the staff were also impressive; everyone behaved very professionally. I highly recommend this place, and I’ll definitely visit again once I’m back in Vancouver.

I got a very small duck portion for the price I paid, my dish was not hot while my partner's was too hot to eat, we waited at least 45 from the end of our main to be served dessert

great food and service friendly, like a family run bistro tucked away in a laneway in Paris

Had the fish of the day and mussels and fries (moules-frites) and both were outstanding. The mussles and fries were huge for their price and the texture of the fish practically melted in my mouth. Absolute worth the visit.

Friendly service. Quaint neighborhood French bistro. Price on the higher end for the type of restaurant they are. Probably one of the very few places you can find frog leg in Vancouver. So French! LOL

I guess the Calamari could be bigger and less salty. Not recommended to seat nearby the kitchen since you will feel the kitchen heat coming towards u. But overall the wagyu was good and service was good

I've been there for lunch and dinner. Lunch has a better deal! Although there's a 3-course set menu for dinner, the quality was so-so.

I have known of this restaurant for decades and have always been curious. The experience was mostly positive but the food was very average. The staff were very agreeable and provided a positive experience.

Service was excellent. The 3 course dinner was of very good value. I had the halibut with scallops and vegetables, salad with smoked salmon to start and chocolate mousse to finish, all very tasty. My wife enjoyed the lemon risotto with prawns, also very good.
