l Nido in Vancouver is an absolute gem! We came here as a family (me, my wife, and our 11-year-old son) and the pasta dishes completely blew us away. Every forkful was a total flavour explosion – the Amatriciana had the perfect smoky-spicy kick, the carbonara was rich and creamy without being heavy, and the kid’s spaghetti with house-made meatballs disappeared in record time because the sauce was so incredibly tasty. My son actually said “Dad, this is better than pizza!” …and that’s saying something.
But the real star of the show? Hands-down the best tiramisu we’ve ever had in our lives. A product of our Italian server’s mother - a perfect balance of coffee-soaked ladyfingers, silky mascarpone, and just the right dusting of cocoa. It’s so light yet decadent – we fought over the last bite (I let my wife win… this time).
Warm, welcoming service, cozy atmosphere, and every dish made with so much love. We’ll be back very soon – Il Nino just became our new family favourite in Vancouver! Highly recommend!

Tucked away this little gem is a must dinning experience to add to your go to list. We had live piano and such a cost atmosphere. The food was beautiful and service amazing and friendly.

Came for dinner on a week night and the 3 of us were the only diners. Seemed a bit odd. The food was actually pretty decent, shared a tomato le burrata salad (decent for winter tomatoes), arancini (ok, served a bit cool) and some pastas. I had a clam fettuccine that was quite good but a bit salty. Overall decent but I wouldn't hunt it out again. Might be nice during the summer on the patio

Absolutely amazing experience! The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The staff were friendly and attentive, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Everything from start to finish was perfect, highly recommended!
Came here at 6pm and the place was filled at 630 pm. Very glad we got here before the crowd. Intimate restaurant, with live piano music that was a little bit on the louder side. But wonderful food, service, and ambience. Would def be back again

This is an adorable small Italian restaurant with an exceptional level of charm. The menu is reminiscent of my time in Italy with all the hits. Arancini, Cacio e Pepe, tiramisu and a doppio to round out the meal. While nothing can compare to a meal in Roma, this is an amazing option if you find yourself missing the old country while in Vancouver.
The Arancini is well prepared with a lovely balance of cheese and rice. The Cacio e Pepe was perfectly spiced but the choice of rigatoni was not my favorite. I prefer a pappardelle myself, but the flavour is spot on. The tiramisu was very light and flavourful.
The service was exceptional. The attention to the guest is on par with 4 star restaurants in NYC and the waiter was very knowledgeable about the wine menu.
I highly recommend!

I recently visited Il Nido and was pleasantly surprised! Their burrata is absolutely spectacular: creamy, fresh and full of flavour. The beetroot and gorgonzola risotto was simply outstanding. I was also really impressed by how many vegetarian options they offer, and one of our friends who’s celiac was very happy to find several gluten-free choices as well. Everyone at our table left completely satisfied! The staff were always kind, friendly, and attentive, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. A true hidden gem in the heart of downtown Vancouver. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Fantastic evening, the service was impeccable and the food outstanding Live piano player was an extra bonus
The restaurant staff was late to open the restaurant. Our reservation was at 11:30am they opened at 11:35am. Food presentation was good but taste was just okay and not worth the price in my opinion. Service was slow and there was only us (a group of 3) and another table (a group of 2). The staff noticed my colleague dropped their serviette and replaced it with a new but didn't notice we needed a refill on our hot water nor did he ask. Overall not terrible but not great. Tip options: 18%, 20% & 25%.

Little hidden gem in the city. Would recommend highly to try this place out. The bread is 12/10 and would honestly come here just for in house made bread.
Mediocre food with exception of Rice Balls that my party rated outstanding. My Lasagne advertised as a house specialty was dried out on top. I didn't think that was possible. The red sauce lacked taste. They were out of Chianti on a Saturday night which was also surprising. Overall not a great experience. The people two tables away were complaining as well. I do not know what they were upset about, It they spent quite a bit of time voicing their displeasure.
The lasagna was the best I’ve ever had, no exaggeration. And the tiramisu was just as good. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Its location makes you give pause- it’s a bit off the beaten track and unpretentious- but the quality of the food and service was incomparable.

As someone who cannot eat gluten, I was so pleasantly surprised by how many gluten free options are at Il Nido. I had the gnocchi dish with prawns and it was amazing. All service staff were lovely as well, as was the atmosphere. Will definitely come back!
Came here for a quick dinner before a concert and the service was fabulous, our food came very quickly, and it was delicious!!
