This cafe is located right next to H mart. I’ve tried their pastries as they sell their clearance packs snd fresh pastries in H mart. I went there for a second visit this time. Nutty Redbean pastry ($6.50) and Iced Americano ($4.50) were good. The bun was huge filled with lots of cream and some red bean fillings. The price for the bun was expensive, but it was worth it.

Iced Americano was a bit bitter. It tasted little better after mixing some water. I couldn’t find my seat at first and was able to find it about 5-10 minutes later. Staff were friendly. I also received a stamp for the drink and food purchase. I’d totally visit here again!

The place is very nice with variety choice. All the cakes look so delicious. The drink is good enough. The cake and bread were yummy. Just one thing that the cream in the croissant was way too much to finish. It made me feel overwhelmed.

Got the strawberry matcha- wasn’t too sweet, tasted balanced and incredibly creamy.

Music isn't too loud and pastries are delicious! Appreciate the early opening and late closing hours. I was there on May 28th at 6pm and there was a disabled man who required a wheelchair. All of the girls working during that time were so incredibly kind and attentive to his needs! They came around the counter to take his payment, brought him napkins, went as far as to take his donut out of the wrapper for him, and opened the door for him on the way out. So kind & special to see! :) You have wonderful employees

The breads are of good quality. However, there is LOTS of room for improvement in terms of customer service, particularly in responding to customer requests. Would NOT recommend coming here :)

We used to like this place for donuts and other pastries. But from today it seems minus one customer. They increased prices, but the product became worse. We took raspberry donuts and they were small and seem not so fresh with very little filling. While strawberry one was good and with a lot of filling.
And better avoid coffee beverages. They are not good here.

Café Monet, located by H Mart downtown, has a cute, Japanese-inspired vibe, with average coffee and fun flavors just like sweet potato latte that I had. The pastries look great for photos but don’t quite deliver on taste, which is why I’d rate it 3 stars—they didn’t win me on taste. Seating fills up fast, and the middle-row tables attached to benches were not comfortable. They aren’t ideal for groups either, though it’s ok for two. The vibe is relaxed, with many people working on their gadgets. I’m not crazy about coming back, but I wouldn’t mind stopping by if I’m in the area and need a quick coffee. I’ll definitely skip the pastries if I’m not hungry. The looks makes it tempting though I’m not gonna lie.

Highly recommend their matcha selection, especially their scones and donuts, but maybe I got an old Matcha Tiramisu, or just unlucky, because it tasted cheesy, sour, and the texture was more like custard...

Cafe Monet I found while staying in Vancouver. It's convenient because it's open from 7 am. The lady in the store is very pleasant. First of all, there were so many items that I couldn't decide because there were so many things I wanted to eat. So I've been here for two days. The cinnamon honey latte had a pleasant taste in the morning. And almond croissants and matcha croissants are my favorites. Next time, I want to eat an egg sandwich. The atmosphere of the store is nice and warm. I will be back!

Cafe Monet on Robson St in Vancouver is a hidden gem! The ambience and location score top marks - it's a serene oasis amidst the bustling city. The minimalist interiors are sleek and inviting, with a convenient self-service display of tasty treats like cookies and breads.

However, there's room for improvement in the service. Our hot mocha coffee was served in a takeaway cup, even though we dined in - ceramics would've added a cozy touch. The temperature could've been hotter too.

On the plus side, the garlic bread was soft and flavorful. Prices are reasonable, making it an excellent spot to sip and work on your laptop.

Overall, Cafe Monet is a great find for those seeking a peaceful retreat in the heart of Vancouver. With a few tweaks to the service, it could be truly exceptional!
