I read a couple reviews saying it was the best Benny people have had. Unfortunately that was not my experience. Eggs were over cooked, though in hindsight I was never asked how I wanted my egg. Bacon was very crispy, and most likely cooked earlier in the morning and definitely not cooked to order. And there was just enough hollandaise sauce to cover the eggs. Hash browns were standard. For 20 dollars I had expected more. Service was efficient and the benny standard.

The only thing I could get vegan here was a salad with tofu modified to not have dairy. They def have vegetarian options but most everything contains egg.
Food was great, hashbrowns were crispy but soft inside, eggs were perfect, french toast was lovely, delicious decaf coffee didn't even need cream or sweetner, plenty of top ups to my mug. I will definately be returning! The only downside was my window seat was a bit cool I should've wore a sweater. Five stars 🌟 🤩 ✨️ 💛 👌 to the waitress Renelle so kind caring and sweet...she made waitressing look effortless. Cafe Zen..you are so lucky to have her. Also kudos to your team at cleanliness.

The food tastes normal with simple ingredients. You can taste the same flavours buying generic grocery store bread/tortilla, potatoes, etc. and frying at home.

Cafe Zen is just such a classic diner, with a good menu and plenty of options to choose from (plus large portions!) A lot of other places in Kits always have huge wait lines but I’ve never waited more than 15 mins for a table here.

Classic Canadian dinner early bird special is extremely delicious and freindly staff, definitely choose bacon or sausage Ham is a little bit disappointing
My favorite place if I want some 90s vibe american breakfast. Get the pancake with maple syrup eggs and bacon

My friend and I just finished eating at Zen a few minutes ago and our meal was absolutely disgusting! The service also was terrible. Just awful, totally embarrassing for my out of town guess ? Will never go back.

A very cute and cozy cafe in a nice and quiet neighbourhood! They've got some pretty generous portions and some very well made egg bennies! It's a bit small, so there many be a line, but it's definitely worth the wait here. I highly recommend their waffles with whipped cream :)
