So many affordable vegan options, thank you so much! Very tasty vegan tamales and super rich peanut butter bar. My only concern is that they only alloted 1 employee for a busy sunny Sunday morning—that girl’s overworked, get her some help!

The coffee flavor was just fine, nothing exceptional. The lemon cake was also okay. The view is good, and the atmosphere is calm, but parking is a challenge. There are no spots available, so it’s best to sit on the sidewalk.

Besides choosing to spend money here, our biggest regret was not taking photos to document our experience. Let me start with saying the employee/owner/server lady was lovely. Unfortunately her personality didnt make the food or coffees, as it was all downhill from there. The Grilled cheese was a very basic, barely toasted Wonder Bread style sandwich. Accompanying tomato soup was barely lukewarm, but at least somewhat homemade taste. The croissant breakfast sandwich consisted of black charcoal on one side, completely squished down to about 1 1/2" tall, with rubbery, formed eggs in the center. The mocha tasted like it had been blended up with a powdered mix, and the Americano undrinkable: we wouldve been happier with a tin of Nabob at home! Dumped it out and there were grounds in the bottom, not sure how that even happens. Only good part about our visit is we decided to park in the 'permit only' parking without one, and we didnt get a ticket.

Great little neighborhood cafe. Got an iced Americano which had excellent flavor. Not sour, not bitter, not watered down. It was a proper Americano. Would definitely recommend. We also had freshly baked croissants that were quite good too. The only seating was outside which on a lovely late summer/early fall morning was very pleasant. No A/C inside and inside was really hot….felt bad for the barista but you can stand outside to wait for your drinks and she will bring them to you. Would love to come back to try the more Latino fare. ?

We walked in on a rainy day and got a very wam and cheerful greeting from the three young hostesses. One walked us out to the patio (we were early, no reservation) to a table with a lovely view. When I requested the table next to the railing by the water, she kindly cautioned that if the steady rain got heavier, we might get sprayed by the downpour. (We seniors really appreciated her consideration.) Our server, Alex, was excellent. We ordered an entree to share (additional scallops made the halibut more suitable for 2) and Alex made sure the kitchen divided it into 2 plates. Dessert was divine. My husband had the cake that reminded him of a creamsicle. I had the affogato, which Alex informed me that they could do a decaf expresso. I stepped away from the table when dessert arrived and Alex asked if I wanted my expresso heated up? Not necessary, it was divine. Service was excellent with much attention to the customer’s comfort, lovely waterfront views. Save room for dessert!

I love coming to this little bodega / cafe hidden in the heart of the residential part of the West End, whether it’s after a morning game of squash at the West End Community Centre, on a stroll by myself or during an afternoon walk with a friend. I particularly enjoy sitting outside the store with my a cup of coffee and a grilled panini or pressed croissant sandwich watching neighbours waking slowly by.

The food servings are simple but, simply great. I tried the prosciutto panini and the ham and. cheese croissant. Both were delightfully lovely. They also serve a good selection of coffees and teas as well. The staff are always cheerful and friendly.

A lovely place to just sit and relax on the patio and watch the West End world go by. Always interesting.

I go there almost everyday. Great atmosphere. Great coffee & food.. Only big issue I have is people go there & Not buy anything & sit , play cards for a few hours. I don’t appreciate that. We want to have a coffee & sit too..

The coolest little cafe! This hidden gem is for you if you like a peaceful chilax mid day without the rushing hustling bustling downtown. We felt so calm just enjoying a stop for an Ice matcha and enjoyed a seat under the shade.
