We ate at this place several times over the course of five days during our trip to Vancouver, and we were really happy with it. The food was always well-prepared and delicious. Everything looked fresh and nicely presented. The prices were very reasonable, which was a pleasant surprise, especially considering the quality.
The service was consistently good, and the atmosphere was bright, clean, and welcoming — clearly recently renovated. The bathrooms were also clean and well-maintained, which we appreciated.
One of our favorite things was how convenient everything was: you can help yourself to as much soy sauce as you need, refill your water on your own, and just feel comfortable. And don’t even get me started on the ice cream — absolutely delicious!
All in all, we were very satisfied with this place. It’s honestly a bit sad to be leaving Vancouver and not having it nearby anymore!

The definition of feel good food. When you're having a bad day, Chau Cafe is there for you. They have such an amazing range of foods from cold to hot, refreshing to cozy. I love all their fresh rolls and just tried their fried egg banh mi. Fills you up and makes you feel so happy. And, they have amazing vegan and veggie options. Take your meat eating friends here for just a good time! Their coffee, teas, and fun little drinks are also a cherry on top!

Stopped in for a quick snack, fresh role was delicious. Also got to sample the beach chips and tofu dip, really really great. Also had a little of the pandan ice cream which was amazing. A great little place for very light and fresh food, service was warm and fast and you can tell the team really puts so much attention into everything they serve. Inside was beautiful, clean and stylish and a nice outside covered patio. I can’t wait to come back for coffee! Longstanding Vancouver spot with an updated approach to classic Vietnamese dishes!

We were so glad when we heard this restaurant reopened. It was one of our favourites and our family has already gone back 3x to enjoy their delicious food. We also had the honour of meeting the owner, Chau. She has a fascinating story and is such a kind and generous person. The service was top notch and efficient. The temple bowl is exceptional and the crepe is so tasty. Highly recommended.
Was pleasantly surprised not knowing anything about the restaurant before walking in. It was close to closing but staff were still very friendly and helped us order. The food came very quickly and the server spent a few extra seconds explaining how the dishes were meant to be enjoyed. Will definitely come back to try other dishes.
I ate the Sapa Power salad which had a great citrus taste along with fish sauce!
Went back for another visit and tried the springs and Golden Temple.... they both hit the spot :)

One of the best banh mis I’ve ever had, chicken one perfecttt! The crispy rolls are also so good, staff is very friendly, this place deserves more recognition, and you can tell they put so much effort into the rebranding and interior design, and the prices are so fair, I’ll definitely come back!

Absolutely delicious food. Still have all of the old favorites, with some new delicious additions. Personally still enjoy their old vegetarian dishes more, but their new dishes are great as well. I have it in my rotation to have. They clearly mark the gluten free options, and the food are all flavored delicately, good for people who prefer a healthier, lighter twist of Vietnamese food. Their banhmi was delicious, definitely one of the best ive had. Not sure about authenticity but the meat was seasoned and cooked perfectly, and the bread was great. I probably won't order it too often though because I found it to be a bit too expensive for the price - but I'll order it as a treat every once in awhile.
