All good not until we pay, the server wants me to add for percentage of tip of her choice. You shouldn't force somebody to pay an amount that you think is good for you! Be thankful that people gives!

The food was great, but the server explicitly asked for a set tip percentage and watched the entire payment process.

Went for dinner at around 7pm and it was pretty quiet. As we were checking the menu, server keep rushing us to order. Can't say the food is good but the service was not good.

Good service with decent food. Not a bad experience at all.

Horrendous experience. I've always despised this place for its terrible service, inconsistent quality, and mandatory tipping on takeout.
But today crossed the line—raw chicken. To make matters worse, the server literally shoved the chicken into the box with her hands because it didn’t fit.
Absolutely unacceptable.
I'd rather starve / eat Neptune than eat here.

i came to this restaurant starving after my afternoon classes. the service was pretty quick, we got our order around 10 mins of ordering. however the beef noodle was very disappointing, the beef tasted stiff and flavourless, the soup just tasted like soy sauce. The vegetables seemed undercooked. The texture of the noodles was fine. Overall, 3/10, was expecting better for the price.

Came here with high hopes after being a happy customer of their West Van location that closed down, but was extremely disappointed with the terrible service and mediocre food.
Upon arriving, the restaurant was silent except for the yelling coming from the kitchen. The lady who brought us to our table didn't say a word to us, and left immediately after pointing to our table. The way she spoke, in both Chinese and English, seemed like she was upset that we were eating there and we were doing her an inconvenience.
Despite being only one out of two tables there, it took around 15 minutes for our order to be taken. Again, the lady sounded annoyed.
The soup was disappointingly bland - I had to add lots of chili oil and soy to make the broth taste of something at all. The noodles were overcooked and mushy, and the beef shank was tough and overly salty.
It's such a shame to see what Chef Hung has become, as it was once my favourite restaurant in Vancouver.

There are several chains, but I am speechless about this one. There is no service and the food is terrible. I don’t know how to keep doing it...

The experience was disappointing, the worst part was exactly what they offer service and food. Used to be a good restaurant but today it really needs a lot of work!

We've gone to this location happily for years but found the experience terrible tonight. We had a party of 8 but the orders were completely screwed up.

Terrible Timing: after we placed our order, 4/8 people good their food, 1/8 got a beverage. 30 minutes passed by before we asked where the rest of the food and drinks were. This made the server staff very very nervous. All other tables that came in after us had their food -- it didn't go in. The rest of the food would take 20 more minutes.

Terrible Ordering system: The system at this location is *not* working. Servers were flustered with their dry-erase boards. Multiple times they went back and forward to re-confirm an order and kept on showing us dry-erase boards that were not ours. Staff had difficulty transcribing the dry-erase check-mark into the POS computer system. Drinks came but there was always uncertainty about which drink belonged to whom.

Terrible Communication: At Aberdeen Chef Hung, servers promptly provide a receipt that has an itemized list of the order with a sticky tape on the table. Not here: every time a new item was presented there was doubt on the server's mind about whether the order was the right one. "Here's your A7: it's yours right?" We'd look at the food and ask "What is a A7 again?" And the server would need to go back and get the white-erase board to tell us to look it up.

It may have been just a bad night, but we were surprised that Chef Hung has become a flustered and confused experience, with a stressful meal and hangry hunger for half our group.

Unsanitary, bad service, crowded atmosphere. Forces you to tip 20 percent. Nothing more needs to be said.
