Honestly couldnt really tell it wasnt real meat (minus the bacon). Great food and portions for the price. Attentive service. We werent rushed at all.
I love Chickpea! Everything there is delicious and made with so much care. The food is fresh the portions are big and the atmosphere always feels warm and welcoming. I've never had a bad meal here. It's one of my favourite spots in the city
I have eaten here twice now and both times was super impressed. So refreshing to leave a restauran with a full belly these days
Everything was so good at Chickpea that I wish we would have been able to eat there more than once during our stay. Every item is an inventive take on comfort food.
The place was very nice Also the burger is a must to try
Love this place! Some of the best vegan food in the city.
Their food is subpar and overpriced at best. I’ve tried vegan food all over the world and sadly this ranks low on my list. I’ve tried it many times now and keep giving it more chances and always end up disappointed by the taste, textures, spices and quality of the food.
I walked the entire like 5 miles of Main street and didn’t quite find what cuisine to have for my lunch, I was grateful that this diner popped up on my search engine when I was nearly at the end of the street.
I ain’t a vegetarian, I’m contented to have a vegan meal from time to time though.
I ordered a breakfast platter with chicksteak, home fries and pita. As a tofu enthusiast, I went with a tofu egg.
Chicksteak took me by surprise, it tasted like pork, nothing like vegan, and super chewy.
Home fries were crunchy than the most.
Lastly I forgot what beverage I drank.
I loved the cauliflower platter with chickpea fries (amazing idea) and the hummus was nicely done.
Excellent food and lots of menu options. Huge portions, everything is delicious, and I hope to try the whole menu! Highly recommend.

This vegan spot serves up amazing Middle Eastern-inspired food in a relaxed, boho/hippie atmosphere. Highlights included the malawach with oyster mushrooms and vegan poached egg, and the lions mane steak rice platter. Even a non-vegan friend was blown away by the flavors. Generous portions, adorable interior, and great service make it a must-try.
Falafels were moist in the inside and super crispy on the outside! Hummus was smooth, flavourful and I could just keep eating. The shwarma could have used a tad bit more seasoning and salt but still yummy! Fries are otherworldly! We also tried the matcha and cappucino! Decent cuppas 👌
Vegan restaurant serving Middle Eastern-inspired food in a relaxed, hippie atmosphere. The menu is extensive and I had such a hard time choosing what I wanted! The brunch menu was very unique and offered many opportunities for customization. I loved the malawach (a crispy flatbread) topped with sauteed oyster mushrooms and a vegan poached egg that actually oozes! Serving sizes are very generous and you will leave feeling satiated (and possibly go home with leftovers). Their latke benedict also looked excellent - I will have to try that next time.
Great place to eat with friends - we had the Hafla - lots of little dishes on the side of our mains. The ambience is wonderful - hippyish, warm and inviting. So nice to have an all vegan and mostly gluten free menu.
This has got to be one of the best vegan meals I have ever eaten. We ordered the Lions mane steak rice platter and the eggs benedict with chicksteak. Portions were huge and food was out of this world.
