We waited two hours for this tasteless pasta... I'm surprised this restaurant is even around in this competitive market in Vancouver.

I really like it but the pasta combo is a bit surprising. The pasta is really spicy and the waitress said it’s just a bit spicy she didn’t warn me beforehand and she expected all clients to understand Italian and type of pasta sauce. Communication skill can be improved. After having the pasta my throat is inflamed and I got sick for a week now.

Came in for the second time this month with colleagues to discuss business over dinner. Everything was top-notch as always – delicious food, excellent service, and a great atmosphere

This place is a total scam. We came with a group, pre-ordered everything to avoid delays, and still waited TWO HOURS for cold food. The staff never checked on us, didn’t apologize, and left the menus on the table the whole time. They also charged a $3.50 “cake fee” for our birthday cake, then made us wait 30 minutes to slice it. On top of that, the “house wine” was $18 a glass. Do yourself a favor and skip this place.

I’d call this restaurant a straight-up SCAM.
We came here for a group dinner of 16. As the restaurant demanded, we pre-ordered everything a day in advance to “avoid a backlog.”
Guess what? We still waited TWO HOURS for food. When it finally came out, it was cold. And colder than the food? The waitresses—who never once checked on us, never apologized, and left our menus on the table the entire time. Appetizers came out with the mains… two hours late. You need two hours to make focaccia? Please. We could’ve driven to Langley, cooked our own pasta, and driven back before they managed it.
Finally the pasta arrived. We thought, okay, maybe it’s worth the two-hour wait. Nope. It tasted like something from a convenience store, reheated in a busted microwave.
We also brought a birthday cake. They charged $3.50 per person as a “cake fee.” Fine. But then we waited another 30 minutes for them to slice it. At that point we weren’t sure if it was incompetence or some kind of prank until the bill landed. And oh, the “house wine”? $18 a glass—nowhere listed on the menu. To top it all off: a forced 20% tip.
This place is a joke. Do yourself a favor and stay far, FAR away.

Food was very cold. Service was extremely poor. It took 2 hours to get our food believe it or not which was insane.
The servers never asked once if we wanted second drink, (first one took hour to come out), and never asked once how was the food or anything like that which is normal at every other restaurant?
We 100% will not be coming back, and definitely won’t recommending to anyone we know, and more likely will be letting our friends know how just how very bad this place is, which is sad since walk by it almost everyday.
This was by far the worst meal and service we have had this year. 0 stars is exactly what the service and experience deserved.

My wife and I attended this restaurant on Saturday, July 26. This was our 4th visit to Cibo and by far the WORST! Our reservation was for 6PM as we had a show to catch at the Orpheum at 8PM.
We were seated immediately, however, we were not asked if we would like to order anything until 6:15. At that time we ordered a cocktail, our appetizer, and our meals as well as a glass of Proseco to be served with the meal. Cocktails arrived at 6:35, appetizer at 6:45, Proseco at 7 and meal finally arrived at 7:25. This timing is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. I doubt we'll be back. Inattentive servers, long waits, wrong timing for the wine. Needless to say, there was, unfortunately, no tip left as I always reward even mediocre service very well. Our server was in tears when I informed her there would be no tip. I felt for her but it was lousy service all around.
My friend and I was dine in on Monday with Cibo before going to the show. There was great experience. Our server Anna was really friendly and toke care of us even she was literally busy with other guests. Food came out on time with stunning looking and tasty. My friend was order pasta, she love the way it cooked and seasoned. Also our drink absolutely amazing.
Atmosphere so great, romantic cozy with beautiful vibe and music. Cant wait to come back next time.

I had a wonderful experience at this Italian restaurant. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with soft music and attentive service that made me feel right at home.
The food was absolutely delicious. The pasta was fresh and perfectly al dente, and the tiramisu simply melted in my mouth.
I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this place to friends. Grazie mille! 🇮🇹🍝🍷
Great food and the server was polite and friendly! Didn’t rush us and we left full and satisfied.

I enjoyed my pasta, but our server wasn't particularly attentive. By the time she came with water for the table we had been waiting to order... the ceaser salad was literally just heart of romaine lettuce sliced into quarters (3 chunks of it on the plate), and the edges were discolored. I had only 2 sips of my drink (it wasn't for me, looked pretty though) and my friend had only eaten 1 of their 3 lettuce blocks when we asked for the bill. She didn't ask any questions and charged us full price. Whatever, I'm not one to cause a scene and since the server didn't bother to ask I wasn't going to push anything, I paid and instead of giving a precentage tip simply rounded up to the next $10 amount. The server scowled when she saw, probably thinking I wouldn't see. Maybe next time wait for the clients to be out the door, or give an experiance worth tipping for.
I will defend the server and say that she was manning 3 tables all by herself, so perhaps the restaurant should consider adding another host for on Friday nights.

I had dinner at Cibo with my family on Saturday evening and we were not only amazed by the food but also by the awesome service. Oscar was very attentive and made us feel so welcome. We appreciated a lot how he took care of us and made sure that we were feeling good during our whole stay at the restaurant. We will definitely be back, thank you!

We had a fantastic dinner here with our kids. We ordered the focaccia and burrata to start, both were very good. For mains, we had the scallop fettuccini and the spaghetti with meatballs. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The food was delicious and the portions generous. We shared tiramisu and panacotta for dessert. The tiramisu was to die for.
The highlight of the evening however, was the amazing service by Teresa (sommelier and manager) and Anna. They were both very attentive and eager to share their recommendations. Teresa was extremely generous, sharing her enthusiasm for things to do in Vancouver, offered us a very generous glass of a wonderful rose with dessert and even gifted us her Ah so wine opener. Anna made excellent food recommendations, checked on us often and was very attentive. Their kindness and generosity made our evening really special. We wholeheartedly recommend Cibo and will definitely be back on future visits.
