Having worked many years in fine hotels and restaurants in downtown Vancouver, I rate Pan Pacific's Sunday Jazz Brunch one of the best in all areas.
The venue and jazz music was unbeatable! Salads and pre dinner items were excellent quality. Hot dinner and main items were a bit of a miss. The steaks, salmon and tuna were warmish and lacked seasoning. Dessert and variety were awesome though!
Not worth 100$ per person for very limited buffet. No carving station. Only one choice of main meat. Better take your money to high end restaurant for this price
Great place to celebrate, from birthday to jingle we always preferred at The Ocean 999 they have many choices to choose from pasta night, Jazz night or festive Brunch and more... Our experience with service staffs are Friendly and foods are great.
The food was incredible. Absolutely loved everything. I found the decor of the hotel a bit sad and needing love and care.
The buffet was full of fresh food, including a variety of salads, hot dishes, pastas, desserts and cheeses and cold cuts.
Having watched famous Canadian YouTuber TIM LEE in describing Oceans 999 Sunday Brunch being a great place to be for a nice Brunch, we decided to give it a try and I took my family (party of 3 booking under "Suet Wah Man") on Oct 19, 2025 and boy, did we made a huge mistake! 1. The food choices were little and certainly nothing like the very much hyped promotions of your famous Sunday Brunch; 2. Food quality was also medicore and nothing to write home about; Last but not leastm. we were very concerned that the plates placed at the different stations were dirty and had clear signs of unclealiness; one plate I took even had remnants of leftover food on the back of the plate which was terribly disgusting. How can this be? In all the many buffets we attended anywhere in the world in Asia and across Europe, this is the first time we encountered this and most alarmingly, in a 5 Star hotel like the Pan Pacific. Hygenically, this causes serious concerns for your patrons. If we may say so, this isn't worth anything near $68 per head and having travelled all round the world, sad to say your buffet isn't even close to any 3-4 Star hotel in Asia . Even their breakafst buffet are far more exciting and offers far more in terms of quality and variety and they are not even billed as "the famous" so and so. Totally disappointing and even if this buffet was free, we would not have the slightest urge to visit again.
The food was very tasty - everything is well seasoned. There is lots of variety and a cook-to-order section as well. The staff are friendly and efficient. Everything is exceptionally clean. Saturday jazz band is fun. It is a bit noisy because the restaurant is a sectioned off part of a stone lobby - it echos. Great for group dining 👍
Great selection of food and ambiance for all ages; live music added a nice touch to the atmosphere. Our server was attentive and very friendly. The only issue I noticed was at the cold/salad table, as guests were not clear which side to start from. The confusion created issues when the lines intersected and people did not know whose turn it was. I saw that some guests were clearly upset at each other.
Great Thanksgiving brunch. Dishes that I liked were the ahi tuna salad, turkey and the creme brule.

I consider myself a regular guest/customer of Ocean 999. Their breakfast brunch buffet is always good. There is just a bit of delay in replenishing some of the food but everything is ok. The staff, Tracy & Chee our very attentive, pleasant and welcoming. Shout out to their manager Demi who is very friendly and super nice. Can't complain with Ocean 999 👍👍👍
Services are quick n friendly. Very proessional. If food are offered more choices it will be a great improvement .
Salty foods. Tiny food flies at cold cuts and cheeses station. Terrible service. Rushed to leave by bringing bill and credit card machine without asking long before closing time.
I wish there were other items, such as hash browns, potatoes, mashed, etc. More vegetarian items would've been nice. Found it hard to find items with no meat. The dessert table was the best part, great desserts!
We came in with high expectations, given the reputation and location, but unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. •Music: We had a 7:15 reservation but the jazz band didn't start until about 10–15 minutes after we arrived, so the atmosphere felt flat at the start. •Food: The buffet selection was poorly managed. My partner enjoyed the Cajun salmon, but there was only one small piece left. It took 45 minutes before more came out, by which time we had already eaten other dishes. Several items, including potatoes, steak, and even vegetables, were missing for long stretches. On top of that, my partner experienced sharp stomach pain shortly after eating the mussels, and when he went to the washroom, another guest mentioned the same issue after also having mussels. This raised serious concerns about food quality and safety. •Service: Service was almost nonexistent. Dirty plates remained on our table for most of the meal, and it was extremely difficult to flag down our server. When we asked for San Pellegrino, it took about 30 minutes before we could even get it. For a restaurant of this caliber, that level of service is unacceptable. Overall, the location and concept are great, but the execution—especially food safety, service, and buffet management—fell far below expectations. We dine out frequently, and this was by far one of the most disappointing experiences given the standard we expected
