My best moments are in this beautiful cafeteria, their food is delicious: the salads, the sandwiches, the cookies, the desserts, the drinks deserve a lot of applause. Also, the staff that serves you is the most beautiful thing.

This place is awesome! The staff were a bit overwhelmed by volume, but were cool and friendly. The beet salad is amazing - would give it 10 stars if I could. Lots of flavour and a great balance between lemony/vinegary goodness, seedy crunchiness, and cheesy creaminess. Latte is excellent, too. Muffins are to die for. Support these folks! Great place to grab a coffee, work (lots of outlets and they seem laptop-friendly - just take up single spaces if possible (bars in the windows)), or hang out with friends.

I've been on a quest for kebab and shawarma for a long time as Vancouver is seriously underwhelming in that regard compared to Europe. Their kebab lunch wrap was delicious. Plenty of tasty meat (grilled beef kubideh I believe), spices, herbs (basil) and veg (some dried and fresh tomatoes mix, onions) and white sauce.
It is only served on Fridays and certain seasons it seems (they didn't have it on the menu during summer) so may want to call in to check but they will kindly offer to keep one on the side got you.
Note the photo is half portion as I sliced it to share with my partner. Single portion feeds one hungry person and I found it of great value at $12.55 after tax.

Best iced spanish latte and chia seed pudding I've ever had. Was able to meet with a client in the back and felt very private.

Had sashimi bento
Was 5 star til I had some salmon sashimi. Had a watering texture.
Not a firm fleshy mouth feel.

I know 2 people who got food poisoning from their Chia pudding. The sandwiches take a long time to be made/heated up.

The Eden cafe is a little piece of heaven for me. The amazing warmth and care of the staff and welcoming atmosphere and the food all combine to make this THE go to for coffee, sandwiches and blessing in the DTES. I’ve been working in the neighborhood for many years and have seen cafes come and go but Eden tops them all and I hope they’re there for a long time. They’ve especially been kind since I was not able to walk there anymore.thank you so much! Love to all. Nurse Fran
