A longtime Main Street staple, with roots in an earlier Kits location, Coco et Olive has been a neighborhood fixture for years. Indoor seating is limited, but the real asset is the generous run of outdoor tables shared with Liberty Cafe next door — arguably one of the best low-key people-watching spots on Main. The pastry case is strong, the coffee reliable, and the homeware selection genuinely worth browsing: candles, ceramics, dishes, and thoughtfully chosen packaged goods that don’t feel like afterthoughts. Not a third-wave temple. Just a confident neighbourhood fixture that knows exactly what it is.

A very cozy and calm café. The coffee quality was great. I ordered a latte with a croissant, and both were fresh and nicely hot. The staff were very polite and friendly. I’m happy it’s close to my place.

I live in the neighbourhood and have been a consistent customer for years. I’ve always received decent customer service, definitely nothing outstanding but at least quick and efficient. The last couple of times I’ve been in, I’ve had to wait in line for longer than usual because the cashier is speaking to a friend in line or to their friend(s)behind the counter. During one instance, all staff behind the counter stopped working to talk to a customer who was clearly a friend of theirs. The chattering did not stop and the line continued to grow. I noticed the owner standing in the cafe, not saying anything to their staff and letting their conversation continue on. It was a busy weekend day, and once orders for everyone else resumed, the staff never even thanked them for waiting or handed out a single apology. Today I actually had to leave the line up as the cashier was again speaking to their friend who was ordering. Both of them seemed to have zero regard for me and kept chatting as if I wasn’t a willful paying patron in line to purchase something. The main cashier was the same person each time - asian with short dark hair. I don’t mean to only point them out though as it seems to be an issue with other staff members as well, including the owner who again, was standing there in the cafe while the first situation happened. As mentioned, customer service has never been particularly amazing. Not very warm or welcoming, stand offish and you rarely see a smile, including from the owner. On top of this, I’ve had issues with my carrot cake the last 2 times I ordered it. I’ve found a small hair or fluff (hard for me to differentiate) and the most previous time, I bit into something super hard and crunchy halfway through. It was super unpleasant, it felt like gravel. To clarify, it obviously wasn’t gravel, but I couldn’t make out what it was after spitting it out. Sadly won’t be returning.
Lovely place, small but it has a nice side place to enjoy the coffee.

Incredibly choice beautiful selection of irresistible things to buy accompanied by excellent pastries, cakes and other food. The coffee is fine, certainly enough to accompany outstanding baked goods.

The latte was ok...nothing to write home about. Employees were more focused on talking to themselves then serving customers.

I came in and stood at the cashier waiting to give my order for 2 minutes and no one greeted or came to take it (the cafe was empty no other customers besides my friend and I). There was a staff working on displays who saw my friend and I but didn’t help or grab anyone for us. We left. At least there’s plenty of other cafes on Main with both amazing coffee and SERVICE.

Salted caramel iced latte was okay, could def taste the salted caramel flavour but the milk was overpowering the coffee so 3.7/5 and the bread pudding croissant was very yummy 5/5

I have been a customer for over 5 years, still they never greet you with any acknowledgement. Very straight faced, no smiles on any of the employees. I have been ordering their granola bowl with milk. It was always such a beautiful bowl with an ample amount of granola topped with beautiful berries, rose petals, sliced grapes or pear. I got hooked. Now they may give you a bowl with the bottom of the granola bag flooded with milk and barely nothing there. Stupid me is a gluten for punishment and keeps going back in hopes that they have improved again. So today I told the young man at the till that they haven’t been doing the best with their granola bowls but I’d like to order one anyway. It comes with either milk or yogurt which he didn’t ask me which one I preferred and I did not specify as I didn’t remember it also came with yogurt. When the bowl was done they presented it and the young lady with the short hair and zero expression on her face who has seen me a million times over the years handed me my coffee and bowl, I said oh I was wanting it with milk and she looked at the order receipt and goes oh well it has yogurt 🤷♀️. Would have been nice to hear let me get that remade for you since I am a repeat customer. I am angry at myself for coming back to this coffee shop but I will never be returning again. ✌️

Admittedly, I haven't tried much else here aside from the salted caramel latte. BUT... the salted caramel latte... oh my god. Let me tell you.... I think about it way more often than I should. I absolutely love it. Their caramel is made in house and it is exceptional. Is it expensive? Of course. Is it a bit on the small side? Absolutely. Is it worth it? Yes, every single time. This is a decadent treat that, for me, is on par with a fancy croissant. Treat yourself to one next time you walk by and check out all of their absolutely beautiful housewares while you're waiting.
