Had an iced pour over which was by far the best coffee I've had in my 3 months of North America. Really regret not buying a bag of their beans, might have to go back someday for them

I came here for coffee a few times, and it's a nice atmosphere. I've also hosted a 30th party here and it was a blast. Owner is very accommodating. Would 200% recommend.

Decent espresso drinks. The location is right next to a busy road so not a great vibe really.

coffee was mid, took 20 minutes just for a regular cup of coffee cause they had to put a leaf on every gd cup..even for takeout...maybe don't waste time with that when theres a line of people and every ones order is to go where they're just gonna slap a lid on it

I had an americano here. There is only one bean option for the americano. At their Burnaby location at least we can choose from two bean options. It is a bit small too, although when I went it wasn’t crowded so I was able to find seat.

They have a fridge outside of the bar area next to customer sitting area and the fridge smells horrible. Every single time one of the baristas had to take something from there I had to endure the bad smell. This ruins the whole atmosphere of course. I prefer their Burnaby location overall. I didn’t like their americano’s taste either. Will not be going back.

I went in ordered a large vanilla latte and which came to 7 bucks and the tipping options started at 18% so I tried to do custom and screwed it up and apologized for it. My order came up and was changed to a small that was luke warm. so for 8 bucks i received 8 oz or latte when I paid for the 20 oz. The thing that this barista doesn't know is that I will tell everyone building this high-rise we're building my bad experience. Not very smart barista, you ripping me off for one latte in exchange you will loose the business of 200 construction workers.

Pour over is really good 👌🏻

Enjoyable and smooth but the double shot Cortado tasted like a single shot.

Filled milk half way through the cup and then I asked if they could fill the milk up a bit more and they said no. Average lukewarm coffee. Would recommend a lot of other places in the area.

The coffee at Modus Coffee Roasters is excellent, at par with top names like Pallet Roasters, Kafka’s, Nemesis, and 49th Parallel. However, compared to these cafes, Modus falls slightly behind due to two factors: the limited variety of offerings and the atmosphere.

While other cafes have invested heavily in creating vibrant, artistic spaces, Modus opts for a more low-key design. It’s not a bad thing, but I personally enjoy spaces where art and ambiance elevate the experience. For these reasons, I’m deducting one star for atmosphere and one for the lack of variety.

That said, I’ll definitely return for their coffee—it’s perfect for grab-and-go moments and consistently high-quality!
