Tried the short rib bowl from their food truck at the vegan night market and it was really good and filling! Lots of great flavors, I just wish there some veggies in it in addition to the soy meat and rice. Would definitely try the spicy ramen next time as that looked incredible.

Really hard to find but this place is definitely worth your effort and consideration. The vegan omakase was excellent- very delicious and creative. The food and presentation was beautiful and the restaurant provided a very serene experience. The restaurant is very small so reservation is recommended. The place is located below the Afghan Horseman and parking might be difficult

Absolutely fantastic experience at COFU Pressed Sushi! The food was incredibly delicious, with every piece bursting with flavor and crafted to perfection. What makes it even better is that it’s entirely vegan, which is such a rare and delightful find for sushi lover like me. The quality and creativity in their dishes truly stand out. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a unique and satisfying dining experience. Will definitely be coming back!

Even as a non vegan, COFU was great! Our sushi favourites were salmon, short rib, and oyster mushroom, and we also loved the ramen. The owner was so friendly and we received exceptional service!

An amazing pearl to discover, the atmosphere is magic thanks to lights and a projector with studio Ghibli scenes. The workers are young and kind!

Google Maps guided us to Tremblay Motors. Apple Maps wanted to take us even further away. In fact, they are right below on the ground floor of Afghan Horsemen. So we walked down a back alley way towards the ground floor of Afghan Horsemen and found them among a number of smaller business. Not really understanding the menu description too well, I chose B–ONSAI. The first thing I love about these press sushi is that they are made with black sweet rice, much more nutritious than white sushi rice. Omakase comes with 16 pieces of pressed sushi in total. Our favourite was the tuna. I like the vivid beets sauce. But actually, everything tasted great. After we finished, I was still hungry and curious, and wanted to try from the custom menu. I didn't realize the sushi should be ordered as 8 cuts of 1 kind, 16 cuts of two kinds, and 16 cuts of 4 kinds. We ordered mushroom again, salmon, and tuna. We were there at lunch time and there was only one other occupied table. The server who is probably the owner, also prepared our dishes. The food seems to be made in advance – not a problem there since we are not dealing with raw seafood. Although the space, the interior is modern and calming, the seats are comfortable, the place is super clean. The service is good. The variety of sushi is sufficient. I especially appreciate the black rice. We returned for another meal and ordered D-AICHI because I thought the Fresh Veggie Mix would give me some more fresh vegetables. That's the trouble with most Japanese restaurant, they don't provide enough actual cruciferous vegetables. Unfortunately, the vegetables were pickled and neither of us enjoy vinegar on our food. I think it would very helpful if the menu provides more description of the food! The tofu, mango avocado and tuna mayo were not very exciting either. So when I ordered take out the third time, it was easy to choose B-ONSAI again – except we did not get the vivid beets and spicy mayo sauce which I really like.
