Had one bowl of great ramen. When I came back for ramen, if was not available. Had sushi from here at a party and thought it was below average.
This is a must in Vancouver. The sushi is made with black rice which is much more nutritious and filling. Incredible flavours. Great value for money too.
My friends and I had a lovely time eating here. The service was excellent - from the moment we walked in the host was very gracious to us, even though we were coming in on short notice with a large party. They also very thoughtfully explained the details of the restaurant and menu to us. The restaurant itself was very small - definitely call ahead if you’re planning on eating with a large group. However, it was clean and well lit, with plenty of natural light. There was also a small amount of bar seating that gave you a good view out the window while you ate, which I thought was charming. The menu is fully vegan, and the food was delicious, though it was all a little expensive for what it was. The pressed sushi was amazing. I especially liked the pumpkin, portobello, Mexican, marinated radish, and seared bell pepper flavors - the flavors of the fresh produce were highlighted beautifully with all of these. I also had both the Spicy Salmon Don and Short Rib Bowl. The Salmon Don was okay and the Short Rib was pretty good, but both were pretty small and this restaurant’s imitation meats leave a lot to be desired. I would stick with the sushi, especially the ones that feature produce. Also, while I can’t speak for it personally, one of my friends had the Vegan Ramen and said it was delicious and by far the best thing they ate there. Finally, this restaurant also has a fully stocked non-alcoholic bar. While I didn’t try it myself, it may be of interest to someone else.
Beautifully presented and extremely courteous staff. Sadly, we were not knocked over with the flavors. I think we had different expectations. I still recommend. There are many 5 star reviews.
My friend and I shared 8 different types of pressed sushi, and everything was great! Allergens were clearly marked on the menu, and the service was perfect. I didn't realize that everything is made with emperor's rice, which was a nice surprise. I was also delighted by the huge selection of non-alcoholic drinks. I left feeling full, but not stuffed. I really want to go back soon!
Tried the short rib bowl from their food truck at the vegan night market and it was really good and filling! Lots of great flavors, I just wish there some veggies in it in addition to the soy meat and rice. Would definitely try the spicy ramen next time as that looked incredible.
Really hard to find but this place is definitely worth your effort and consideration. The vegan omakase was excellent- very delicious and creative. The food and presentation was beautiful and the restaurant provided a very serene experience. The restaurant is very small so reservation is recommended. The place is located below the Afghan Horseman and parking might be difficult
Absolutely fantastic experience at COFU Pressed Sushi! The food was incredibly delicious, with every piece bursting with flavor and crafted to perfection. What makes it even better is that it’s entirely vegan, which is such a rare and delightful find for sushi lover like me. The quality and creativity in their dishes truly stand out. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a unique and satisfying dining experience. Will definitely be coming back!

Even as a non vegan, COFU was great! Our sushi favourites were salmon, short rib, and oyster mushroom, and we also loved the ramen. The owner was so friendly and we received exceptional service!
