No frills dim sum spot here. The flavours are pretty decent with pretty affordable prices.
Can get quite busy if you don’t come right at opening time.

A pretty decent dim sum spot — not too fancy, but hits the spot! 🥢 The place isn’t big, yet the dim sum quality is quite good. Steamed dishes come out hot and fresh, with nice big portions, and the fried items are crispy and flavorful. The rice noodle rolls are super smooth and tasty — definitely my favorite! 😋

Only downside — the tea could be better. It’s a bit weak and lacks that classic aroma. Hope they can level up the “Drink Tea” to match the rest of the food. 💪✨

Came here with party of 4, food was pretty good, service was decent. Don't have any complaints. Pricing was fair. Give it 4 stars cause it's good but not significantly better then other places I have been to. Nothing that makes me specifically remember this place. We would return tho.

Foods are not so great. I thought Chinese foods are great in Vancouver, guess I'm wrong.

Good spot for unpretentious classic dimsum.
Fair priced and good portions. Made to order.

Finally tried this place, and the dim sum was solid and reasonably priced. I recommend the crispy bean sheet wraps with prawns, delicious! However, I don’t recommend the braised beef tripe, which wasn’t soft enough, or the deep-fried dumplings, which lacked sufficient filling. I’ll definitely return when craving dim sum.

Some of the food was okay, but the service was absolutely terrible. First of all, even though there were plenty of empty tables, they didn’t give us seats right away. Second, the food came out very late even if you order first, your dishes might not arrive first. You come for yum cha, but end up feeling like you’re having an early dinner.

Food taste very good but a little salty to me, services is fine, sitting area is fine, bright and clean, washroom is located downstairs. Overall, food quality is very good and dishes size is bigger than average. Recommend

Often busy so be prepared for a wait. But the food is worth the wait. Portions are larger than most other dim sum restaurants and the food is tasty!

The quality of the food is good but the service is very slow. Our teapot was empty for a very long time before it was refilled. The waitress seems to be not very happy and over worked.

I’m genuinely impressed by the dim sum at Corner 29! Every dish we tried was above average in quality, yet the prices were slightly below average—a rare and welcome combination in Vancouver’s dining scene.

While the decor is simple and nothing to write home about, the real star here is the food—and it truly delivers. One standout for me was the sponge cake (馬拉糕). So many places these days get it wrong, but Corner 29 absolutely nails it. Light, springy, fragrant, and just the right amount of sweetness—it brought me right back to the flavors I grew up with.

Another highlight was the 牛肉刮刮腸 (beef rice rolls). The texture of the rice noodle was silky and smooth, wrapping around the tender beef filling beautifully. It had that fresh, just-steamed feel that makes this dish so comforting and satisfying. Perfectly paired with the light soy sauce drizzle.

Kudos to the team for staying true to authentic Cantonese cooking. I’ll definitely be back for another round of yum cha!

Dim sum pretty good! Selections not too bad! No dim sum discounts compare to others. Quite a few turnovers in 3 different types of businesses.

This corner had a few establishments prior to Corner 29, and it housed a lot of great memories. It’s been a while since I’ve been around this area. We heard from other families that the dim sum here continues to play a great roll here on Main Street.

We couldn’t find parking in front but we didn’t mind parking a couple blocks away. I highly recommend reservations or you’ll be waiting a long time. It’s a small place and the decor could use some work. But that didn’t discourage us from eating their delicious dim sum.

I was quite surprised by their quality on their classic items. Each dish we had is very tasty and the portions are appropriate and appreciated. Everything was hot and fresh to order.

I would definitely come back again for breakfast!
