I visited CowDog at the Oak Street location, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. I went around noon, so there weren’t many products available, which is understandable after the busiest hours. We tried several drinks, including the pistachio matcha, the Fall seasonal drinks, and the hojicha cookie. Honestly, the matcha didn’t impress me; it felt more like the marketing than something truly memorable. I might try it again out of curiosity, but it’s not something I’d actively seek out.
What really stood out were the desserts, they were delicious and definitely make me consider coming back to try more, maybe this time on the kits location. The service was good, and the atmosphere was okay because it’s only take out, but nothing special. Overall, the desserts are the highlight here to me, while the drinks are more experimental and not particularly memorable.

If you ask for no ice here, be prepared for a partially-empty cup. For a $10 drink, it feels unreasonable not to top it off… what’s a splash of milk, really? The amount you get really isn’t much.
The matcha/hojicha (we got both, though only one is pictured here) itself are just okay, but nothing to justify the price tag. On top of that, the service isn’t particularly friendly, which makes the experience even less appealing.
Overall, Cowdog feels overpriced for what you get, and there are plenty of other places serving better drinks with better service, and is less costly.

Went to try the Frozen Matcha but realized they only have that at the Kits location so I got the Strawberry Matcha and it was so yummy!!! Really strong Matcha Flavour and not too sweet. I would have loved to try their pastries but they were all sold out. Maybe next time!

My favorite matcha in Vancouver 🥹 I love supporting such a transparent business- yes it is pricier and a longer wait time but there's no extra charge for plant milk and their baristas are paid higher wages (and everything is amazing!) so it will always be worth it for me! My only thing I'd change is to have a gluten free option for a sweet treat
