Cozen Japanese Cuisine

I was shocked when they served the deluxe sashimi set, with several aquarium ornaments. The sashimi was fresh, but you can tell the chef lacked experience from the different cut shapes, sizes, and thickness (or lack of) in sashimi. The blue fin don had too much vinegar, and over powered the taste of everything. The cod was cooked perfectly and had a great sauce. Perhaps cooked food is a safer bet here.

needed a quick bite while walking up commercial, and im so glad i stopped by! to start off, the atmosphere is very relaxed and friendly, and the music is nice! my server was soo nice! i ordered a miso soup, chopped scallop roll, negitoro maki, and then 2 pc shiitake nigiri! everything was super fresh, and some of the tastiest ive had in vancouver. the miso really stood out to me, and they give u quite a large portion!! my favourite was probably the negitoro maki :) ill be coming back next time im in the area!

The sushi was ok, with a rating of 4.8 i was expecting it to be better, I mean was not bad, it was good but not 4.8 good. Service was excellent and fast.

Vibrant sushi restaurant on the Drive. Some of their rolls were off the charts good no matter how adventurous you may or may not be. They've got something for all tastes it seems. Will go back to try different items.

Highly recommended! Everything was super fresh, delicious, and full of flavor. The sushi was absolutely fantastic — melt-in-your-mouth and perfectly balanced. You can really taste the quality. Definitely coming back!

Causal Japanese. The Cozen lunch set is good value. The salmon Oshi sushi is okay. The sauce on top is very salty and lack of charcoal flavour. The sockeye salmon dinner plate is quite greasy.

Excellent sushi, service, and location. Good quality miso soup, not from concentrate. Fresh fish, wasabi, and vegetables. Blue fin tuna is comparable to the top sushi bars in Tokyo. You cannot tell the difference in taste or texture. Cannot go wrong here.

Went here for the first time on May 18th for a late lunch. We ordered sushi along with chicken karaage. The sockeye salmon oshi and hamachi oshi rolls were very good. I thought the blue ocean roll was going to be really good given the ingredients, but it was lacking in taste. My wife really enjoyed the futomaki roll. The chopped scallop roll was okay - it would have been better with fish egss (ie. tobiko). The chicken karaage was tender and juicy, but it was a bit lacking in flavor. The hamachi oshi roll was our favorite.

Best sushi I’ve found in a long time (but the prices weren’t high - great value whenever you can get in (lunch specials can pack the place full). Apparently I like Sea Urchin so much I didn’t even take a picture. The restaurant is too small to offer any atmosphere that doesn’t feature the front door :-) but, that’s quite alright.
