Dachi has really formed this beautiful community on their corner at Hastings and Garden. Lovely folks, pouring beautiful wines alongside creative and delicious food. The food has always been good, with tiny artisan farm produce being the focus. I love the current interpretations of Korean and other flavours by chef Jiwon Seo and her team. Service is personal and friendly, from true pros. The wines are curated, with a strong emphasis on top quality natural producers from around the globe. There is always something interesting to drink and the team is happy to surprise you with a new favourite. Much respect. (Also, shoutout to one of the only patios I like in the city.)

Came here for a dine out in a group of 6. Plenty of space, not being crammed into a small space. The food was good & portion was generous, and the staff was bery friendly & had good knowledge when recommending sake pairing & dishes served.
The food definitely had a lot of Asian style fused into each dish, especially Korean. Each dish reminded me of Korean dishes that we've had before, so it wasnt really too new for us, compared to how non-Korean may see it.
The prawn risotto was just on point, and the sesame cake was also surprisingly delicious. The raw beef was also very similar to one of common Korean dishes (육회).
I would love to come back try their individual dish again outside of dine-out times.

We came for their Dine Out Vancouver menu and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The decor of this cozy restaurant is lovely and the staff both gracious and knowledgeable about the menu. We enjoyed 9 courses of thoughtfully created and beautifully presented food. The dishes were approachable but far from ordinary in their execution. Standouts included the devilled eggs with candied anchovy, the risotto with poached prawns and orange, and the beef tartare (the first tartare I've ever truly enjoyed). Each bite had acidity, texture and seasoning. A great food experience all around.

Excellent 10 courses menu, as much as the taste, quality of ingredients and presentation. Our waiter made our night magical. Thank you again!

My friends and I tried the shared tasting menu and which is totally worth it if you’re looking to try a bit of everything!
Every dish was delicious, packed with flavour, and perfect portion sizes. Love how they use seasonal, local ingredients.

Unfortunately underwhelming. We had the tasting menu, unsure if it was an off night but was very mediocre.
Service was lovely and overall we had a nice time, but the food was lackluster.
Overuse of seaweed and radicchio, not much protein. First course was 3 small appies, one was a deviled egg, another was pickled veg scraps, and the third was beets in a seaweed aioli. Then we had another round of 3, an overdressed limp salad (flavor was nice) a chewy and crunchy tartar that didn’t taste like much of anything, and a tuna dish that tasted and looked like canned tuna. There was also an udon broccoli pesto dish which was exactly what it sounds like, topped with nori and roe - didn’t particularly enjoy this dish, felt not thought out. We then had a chicken katsu that was cooked nicely! But dessert was a soggy apple crumble with a scoop of icing, which was odd. All dishes were shared, which also didn’t feel like much bang for your buck (nothing like Mackenzie Room for example)
They also ran out of the two interesting non alcoholic options on the menu after we ordered which was unfortunate.
It wasn’t BAD, but I would probably won’t be back - hopefully it was just an off night as many reviews are glowing!

Restaurantji Recommends
First visit after the renovation and the interior has become so beautiful! The menu changes regularly and all four dishes we ordered this time were very delicious with pretty presentation. Although we visited on a weekend the restaurant was nearly empty so we had a great time chatting and enjoying the food. Will definitely come back soon!

Honestly the food was fine and service were great! We got the tasting menu ($75/person) and tried 8 different dishes. We did mention needing an accommodation for no spicy dishes as I don’t eat spicy.
The only reason I docked one star is because of amount of food for value. As a petit lady this was filling enough for me but my partner was definitely not full. We felt that had we known about the selection of dishes within the tasting menu we would’ve preferred to order a la carte, and still come out to a total less than what we paid.
Recommendation for restaurant would be to ask diners in advance if there was any dish they’re dying to try to ensure it’s included in the menu (I.e., we asked about a dish when discussing the menu and was disappointed it wasn’t included for us).

Amazing experience, beautiful ambience, incredible food and wine, outstanding service. Will be back VERY soon!
The area isn’t the most appealing, but I appreciate the small, local charm of this restaurant. They have a nice patio, and the dining room itself feels intimate, with a clear view of the kitchen across the space.
The staff are warm, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They also offer thoughtful recommendations when it comes to their wine selection.
We had the tasting menu, which had good portions and got pretty full by the end of the meal. The dishes leaned on Asian influences, with ingredients like gochujang and soba noodles. The menu started off strong: the caramelised eggplant was nice, and I liked the cauliflower with the blue cheese sauce. The pork belly was crisp and well-prepared, but the richness of the fat can get overwhelming. It was served with potatoes which unfortunately weren’t the most pleasant to eat, since they tended to crumble apart rather than hold together with a creamy texture.
