Shrinkflation I guess. Prices go up but the serving is half the size. Be warned.

I used to go to Daeji a lot when they had a Robson location. I felt like having a pork cutlet for lunch so I stopped by here yesterday. Not much to say on ambiance, but lunch menu looked affordable and filling. I got Garlic Pork Cutlet lunch special for $13.99. It came with rice, radish, macaroni, salad and soup. Everything looked good until I was shocked to see amount of garlic on my food.Surprisingly there was lots of garlic chips and minced garlic on top. I scraped so much of minced garlic from the meat. Garlic chips were bit dry instead of crispy. I took off 1 star because the garlic was too overpowering, the garlicky flavour was smothering my tongue for hours and hours.Service was pretty good. The Korean owner offered me a refill on a side dish and offered me some. I had to get a soda to wash garlic flavour off my mouth. Other than that food was pretty good. Portion was just right for 1 person. Food was yummy and filling.

Except for one or two of the weekday lunch sets, which are relatively cheap, the overall environment is also clean. Otherwise, the service is very slow and the taste is very American and Asian.

If you are looking for Ambiance probably find somewhere else. But if you are looking for old school Korean pork cutlet, this is the place! Pretty awesome portions and reasonable price.

Ordered the katsu lunch special during my break and it was delicious. The sauce was not too salty but very flavorful, paired with the rice is so comforting. Pairs well with the radish, not too sure about the Mac n cheese and corn. But overall a good bang for your buck! Service was friendly too

This is the first time I had Korean meal in Vancouver since arriving months ago. I pass by this restaurant for lunch after work, it looks clean and colorful, so I decide to give it a try.I had curry pork cutlet. The rice is a bit small in portion but they can refill on request. The rice is cooked with a little bit too much water, so the rice is a bit sticky. The curry cutlet taste ok and it is hot on the plate. They provide soup to come with the lunch special.Overall, the service is quick and staff are polite. Good if you are looking a quick lunch. May just it a try for other dishes.

Their pork katsu is good, brings back nostalgia. However, they served Worst chicken katsu I've ever had. It smelled iffy, thin, and way over cooked. It tasted funny that I had to stop. Maybe it was because it's an unpopular menu? Not sure why the quality was so bad compared to the pork katsu. Wont be coming back any time

Sad burnt small pieces of chicken with soggy chips, fishy? Used to be way better.

In addition to the excellent service and yummy fried chicken, I was pleasantly surprised by the reasonable pricing at this location.
