Second time here. Waiters are always absolute gems. Bobby was our server and made the whole experience that much more memorable. Would recommend everyone try at least once!

Went with my bf at the time, we happened to have back to back birthdays, we were sung to by the staff but it was when the entire restaurant joined that made it amazing and lovely ROSE who after 4 years recognized my voice, and remembered my name and was by far the most amazing waitress ever. She made every detail of the experiences incredible. Food, atmosphere, staff, amazing. Worth the 3hrs of genuine conversation, thinking it had been just an hour. Recommend.

The atmosphere and experience were amazing. The food was not ideal. I hit the lamb ragu pasta and I had like one piece of lamb. I should have gotten the steak or something else. The pasta in itself was super al dente to the point where you couldn’t really taste the sauce. I was al dente pasta all the time if there was more lamb it would have complimented well. But just super al dente pasta by itself is not ideal. The flavours of the food were good. It’s very possible they just made an error with mine because the food reviews are so good. I would come back and order differently. For dessert they brought two options one was a cheesecake and one was like some sort of chocolate brownie cake. The cheesecake amazing the chocolate one was really dry for yes cake itself but it had sauce it melted chocolate on some areas so with that it was good but the batter itself was like ocercooked a bit and dry. Great service wonderful atmosphere.

Only downside is the cost. The service was lovely and the experience was enjoyable. Definitely odd, but in the best of ways.

Great service! Food is good and the experience is unique. You are forced to focus on all your other senses and on the person who are with you at the moment, or you will fall asleep in the dark.

I came here for my birthday yesterday with six of my friends and we had a great time. Joe was our server and he was pretty funny. I got a three course meal and ordered the Local Chicken as my main, though I found it to be somewhat disappointing in flavour, I tried a bite of my friends Lamb Ragu and it was much better, if I come back I’ll definitely order that next time. By the time dessert came around I was pretty full and could not finish it. It was a great experience and I’d love to come back again sometime.

For three courses, a mocktail piña colada, the +$3 for the local chicken, and tip I ended up paying $72. The bills have to be paid all on one card and then you can figure out how to transfer between your table later.

Dietary restrictions: One of our friends was allergic to nuts and they were able to accommodate all the courses for her.

Unforgettable meal last night at Dark Table, it's truly a unique dining experience. Our server Joe was the best and was very attentive. Food was delicious and my partner was very happy that when his steak came out, it was already cut for him - he was worried about trying to cut in the dark. My risotto was also so tasty as were the surprise desserts. Highly recommend, we'll be back!

So neat! Total darkness. Simple food. Few furniture mishaps, lol. If you're sensitive to motion sickness, you might get disoriented. Very loud atmosphere.

Vegetarian options: Not many. Simple and bland substitutions lacking flavour.

This is a unique experience. Finding your way to your table in the dark with the help of a server is quite cool. Having food in total darkness is quite an experience. The food was amazing, we ordered lamb ragu and a surprise meal.

I'd like to say a big thank you to Joe, who is such a great server, making sure we're comfortable.

Dark Table in Vancouver offers an unforgettable dining experience where you eat in complete darkness. The ambiance is truly unique, and I commend the restaurant for its incredible initiative of employing visually challenged servers. Their dedication and hospitality were exceptional, and it’s a humbling experience to dine without being able to see anything—even the food in front of you.

However, while the experience was memorable, the menu could use more diversity. The food options felt quite average, and I believe it should better cater to a wide range of taste preferences from around the world. Additionally, the price seemed steep for the quality of the meal, costing nearly $65 per person with taxes and gratuity. Ideally, I’d expect to pay no more than $40 for the overall experience and the food offered.

Overall, it’s worth trying once for the experience, but there’s room for improvement in terms of menu variety and pricing.

A special shoutout to Joe for making the evening memorable with his amazing sense of humour and service. You are a superstar brother.

Vegetarian options: Although limited, they try to customize their offering to attract vegetarians. However it would be hard for vegetarians to get their money’s worth especially when they go for the “Surprise Me” option.

Dietary restrictions: They try to cater to different dietary needs such as vegan, low fat etc.

Wheelchair accessibility: Not really. The entire restaurant is pitch dark with zero visibility.

A very unique experience. Quite challenging at the beginning. Yoko was awesome! It's incredible how vulnerable we can be as human beings.

We were seated close to the entrance, and every time someone entered or exited, there was a red exit sign that shone right at us. Besides that, it was pitch black in there and was a very cool experience. Did the 3 course meal option and the appetizer and entree were very good, but the dessert was seriously lacking.
Would go again.
