⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The fried eggplant was perfectly crispy and flavorful, and the vegan curry was rich and nicely spiced. Together, they made a great meal. Definitely recommend for tasty plant-based options!!

Great place for a dinner. Durian crème brûlée was an excellent end to a meal!

We plan to eat at another restaurant in here but unfortunately that restaurant was closed. So we try this place for the first time and so disappointed that the food was so salty and we also wanted to order some special drink but almost everything we ordered was out of stock too

We are a family from Calgary and have been to Vancouver 3 times. We fell in love with DD Mau from the first time we visited and had to come at least once when we visited again. We have tried most of the special dish like Damn Good Chicken & Rice, Fried Crab Pocket, Bun Cha Ha Noi, Banh Mi, etc. My mother in law who is very picky love the Crab Fried Rice so that says a lot. I really like the decoration remind us of our home in Vietnam. Definitely come back again if we ever come back to Vancouver!

《 BANH-MI BEEF DIP?!》
- short rib beef dip banh mi = $18.50 -
- lychee jasmine iced tea = $5.50 -
- liquid tiramisu = $8.50 -
Gonna keep it short and sweet (like their liquid tiramisu, which is Hanoi-style coffee with egg cream) and tell you DD Mau Chinatown is amazing. Go if you haven't already tried them out.
I love banh mi and I love pho broth. When you give me a short rib banh mi sandwich to dunk into a concentrated bowl of pho broth like a beef dip, what is there to not love? ? Well just in case you had any doubts, they threw in a runny fried egg on top too. ?

DD Mau has a great atmosphere and ambiance that makes for a nice dining experience. However, the food was just okay—not bad, but not outstanding either. The staff were friendly, but they were a bit too loud, chatting and laughing among themselves, which made it hard to enjoy the meal fully. It could definitely use a bit more focus on customer experience.
Parking: Paid parking available. Be careful to not leave any belongings in the car

It's a chill spot in chinatown, love how they are open late. I really enjoyed the wings, squid, fried rice, and banana cake! Service is fast here!
The soups are good but I wouldn't say it's the best in the city. It's a refreshing spot that likes to experiment and refresh their menu every few months.
My only critique is that the durian creme brûlée was too thick. Giving it an over cooked texture versus a light steamed custard.
I would definitely come back for everything else.

Got the seasonal crab and tomsto soup noodles (9/10). Really good and filling. Comforting on a cold day. Think thicker noodles would soak up the flavors of the broth better but its a minor critique.
The crab and pork dumplings were good, albeit not the juciest. 8/10. Decent for the portion size of an appetizer.
The fried eggplant is more like a stirfry and quite small. 7/10. Redeeming quality was the amazing aroma of the oil.
Service was great
Atmosphere is slightly reminiscent of streeet vendors with the metal tables. Critiques: the location can be alil sketchy depending on what time you’re going. The lighting is very dim. And the FONT on the menu is very VERY small

Came in when it was dead (2 or so). Everyone was keeping busy, attending the few guests, cleaning, etc. it was amazing to see.
Saul my server was prompt and friendly, initiated conversation and respected my lack thereof.
Food was great ! Not as good as this old Vietnamese lady I know... But she would come back to life to try it ;)
Thanks guys
