authentic bánh mì in yaletown ?? could have done with more chilli and soy, but that's because white people are soft and spice freaks them out ( I am white shut up ? ) will ask for a bit extra next time

My favourite downtown spot for Bánh mì. Creative options and flavours, quick and friendly service. My only complaint is the hours, wish they were open later so I could grab it after work!

This has been on my list for awhile as i love vietnamese food and i did not regret going here. I had the chicken banh mi. The chicken wasn't fatty/it was nice and fresh, made to order. Veggies were the right amount and bread was soft and perfectly warmed up not to mention the sauce wasnt overdone and greasy. Totally fresh sub. The staff were all smiling and so nice. my only regret is waiting so long to try them! Keep up the amazing work.

DD Mau , is excellent! Featured on Food Network you’ve got to eat here, they produce fantastic Vietnamese subs. This location now and right now you cannot sit inside to eat due to COVID-19, that said, it’s all about the food! The Vietnamese subs are prepared with care and the ingredients always are super fresh. The staff are always efficient and friendly, and you can order off ritual if you want which I have done many times and it’s handy. Do you want a truly delicious Vietnamese sub this is definitely the place to go.
I have heard of DD Mau from many of my friends. I always wanted to try this place but it is somewhat out of the way. Especially, when you live super far from this restaurant. I used to work downtown but it is no where close to DD Mau. So this was never a place to grab lunch at that time. B's company gave him a $100 support local BC gift card. We used $25 toward the use at DD Mau. This was definitely a good purchase. B and I came here during the time where patio dining is only allowed. We got a mango smoothie to share (mostly for me). I got the crispy Roasted pork Bahn Mi and he got the Pork Sausage Bahn Mi. B loved his Bahn Mi. He said it was super delicious and the jalapeno was infused into the pork sausage. Every bite he could taste the jalapeno. I am not able to handle spicy so I had my Roasted Pork bahn mi without jalapeno. It was tasty however, I think it definitely needs more sauce. It was somewhat dry. We will definitely be back again some day. Good thing that they are located near the Marinaside park. There are lots of chairs and benches over there.

Best Bahn Mi in town. It is perhaps our most frequented place for lunch. My wife gets the Lemongrass Tofu and I get the Crispy Pork. They are addictive. Fresh ingredients and always consistent. The staff are nice as well for being as busy as they are. I just can't stay away...so...good.

We had two of the special BBQ Duck Banh Mi sandwiches and veggie spring rolls. They are excellent. The baguette is perfect. The BBQ duck was amazingly tasty and delicious. The pickled veggies in the sandwich are crunchy and vinegary. The vegetable spring rolls with tofu and peanut sauce are fabulous. Great customer service at the counter. This place is a keeper.
