Paniz the hostess was very rude to us. Her attitude was unacceptable. She refused to share her real name with us when we asked for it and kept arguing with us. We had a reservation and I asked to be seated in the corner at a table that was available. Instead, she insisted on seating us at a small noisy table between people. The table we asked for was still empty by the time we were leaving. We feel highly disappointed with Paniz' customer service skills and we're not coming back. Moreover, we'll share our experience with several 10K communities on social media. Hopefully, Paniz will find a different line of work never having a customer facing role again.

They had a large party coming after our reservation but they clearly showed us that our patronage and experience was not important. Food was great but the less than mediocre service really detracted from the experience.

Melody made our visit to Delara Restaurant truly wonderful. She was so kind, welcoming, and friendly, and her service was excellent from start to finish.
We ordered the Gheymeh and the Koofteh, and both were amazing. Everything tasted fresh and well made, and we really enjoyed our meal. For dessert, we had Baghlava with tea, and both were great. The Baghlava was especially enjoyable because the sweetness was perfect, not too much at all.
The space is calm and beautiful, with a very nice design that makes you feel relaxed. Overall, we left very happy and satisfied, and we would gladly come back and recommend this place to others.

Delara delivered one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in Vancouver. From the moment we arrived, the team made us feel genuinely welcome. The service was warm, attentive and unpretentious, and the gentleman who introduced us to the pomegranate margarita deserves a special mention. That drink alone could convert anyone into a regular.
Every dish was exceptional. The starters arrived beautifully presented and full of bright, fresh flavors. The olives, the crisp golden bites and the salad were balanced and generous without ever feeling heavy. The main courses were even more impressive. The lamb shank was tender, deeply seasoned and finished with herbs and rose petals that made it as beautiful as it was delicious. The sabzi polo was fragrant and perfectly cooked. The fish dish was rich and vibrant, with a sauce that tied everything together without overwhelming the fish.
The space itself is calm, elegant and thoughtfully designed, which made the whole experience feel even more special. It is clear that Delara values both craftsmanship and hospitality, and it shows in every detail. Woman Life Freedom ✨ So proud of.... We left already talking about when we will return.

We were a large group and had the family style set menu. We enjoyed the food selections very much. The bread and food were delicious and more bread was delivered upon request. The other dishes and the mains we had were great. Some in our party loved the beef , others said the chicken was their favourite, that it was nice and moist. The desserts, albeit came when we were pretty full- (so portions worked out well, we even had a few takeout containers to take home) were hit and miss. Half of our table thought the cake was super moist and delicious, the other end felt it wasn't edible as it was so dry. We probably ended up with an old and new situation. The baklava was a little different than what we traditionally had had, some felt it needed more honey/syrup.... The saffron ice cream was very mild, either needed to be bolder in its unique flavour or switch to mango or something? It was the least enjoyed, but was competing at the very end of our appetites. The service was cheerful and attending. Everyone's biggest complaint was the noise level- one of those restaurants you have to yell across the table to be heard I really appreciated being able to book a large group. We all agreed we would come again. Thanks Delara.

Just tried this restaurant with my family. We are Persian and definitely not an easy crowd to impress in any way shape or form. However, every single member of my family (myself included) had an exceptionally good time and enjoyed the delicious foods. We had the lamb shank, fesenjoon duck, and special that night (Braised BBQ Beef). All of which was incredibly tasty and high quality. Overall, great restaurant, great atmosphere, excellent service, superb food. 10/10 would recommend!
