Ordered the lava cake on uber. Definitely wasn't a lava cake. More like a LIE cake.

The only thing I liked was the red velvet cake in the jar. This is hands down thee best red velvet cake I've ever had in my ENTIRE LIFE. It's so good, that once I returned home to Washington I was kicking myself that I didn't buy more. I also had the choc milkshake and it was the worse milkshake I've ever had. So unfortunate. The server put too much, ice and milk - it tasted watered down. I will be back for the cake in the Jar, no doubt.

Stopped by on the weekend, looking to try something new. They have several fridges/freezers with different options, and we ended up going for the salted caramel waffle. This would not have been my first choice, but after reviewing the cake options in the fridge, we found that the portion sizes looked quite small for the price (probably an average of $12/slice). This should have been a warning for us. I believe the cost of the item was around $10 before tax.The food preparation did take some time, but we weren't in a hurry, and we were presented with a smaller than expected box. Upon opening the box, we noticed that it contained only half of a waffle. The top waffle had a generous amount of salted caramel syrup on it, but the bottom one was mostly bare. I will admit, the waffle did taste good, but I was shocked by the price for the portion size. Is a whole waffle $20? Nero Waffles charges less, and offers more. Despite it tasting good, I would be returning, as the cost is way too high for something I think most people could make at home. Its a shame, as the cakes looked great, but were equally expensive.

So glad I got introduced to this store (wink wink YEE). Had to come back for more Cheesecake Factory Cheesecake. These are the legit ones from the south. I recently bought some costco, and they are not the same.

Disclaimer: Rest assured that if the name of a place has Dessert in it, let alone starts with it (just how I prefer to commence and then end my meals! *ahem*), my sweet t̶o̶o̶t̶h̶ teeth and namesake tummy have their hearts set on that spot! And, yes, the human anatomy goes for a toss when it comes to matters concerning gastronomical delights! ?For starters, it's kinda apt (even if it sounds ironical) that the severe drought of new food experiences this summer ended in a dessert place! True to its name, Dessert Directory is a neat little shop which doubles as a sweet registry offering a wide selection of desserts and drinks. It was fascinating to learn that Abdul, the owner, was inspired to start his own dessert shop catering to every dietary requirement based on his tryst with diabetes at an early age. And, now, his brainchild offers 60+ vegan, gluten-free, keto and sugar-free dessert options - truly a one-of-a-kind go-to spot having a first-mover advantage with its offerings in the Lower Mainland of BC!?Being a chocolate lover I opted for the 6 Layer Chocolate Utopia Cake (just perfect - rich, moist and delicious!). And, tempted by their menu and the different options on display, I ended up getting the vegan Nutella Crepes (slightly on the thicker side, but very tasty and satiating!) and their collaborative offering with The Cheesecake Factory Bakery - Mango Key Lime Cheesecake (Sooooo gooddd! Just perfect! *droolll*) ?The floor space is not much with limited seating up for grabs, and it did get a little stuffy inside on a hot summer evening, even though a hurricane fan tried its best to lower the temperature. The staff were friendly, but it would be wonderful and more hygienic if they could use gloves when preparing the food (I observed that they were working on the crepes with bare hands). Thankfully none of that had a huge impact on the entire experience, and it will be great to see Dessert Directory growing, expanding and improving manifold in the times to come. ✨Bottomline: I recommend this place, be it for a sugar high and/or a dose of caffeine during the day time, or for a non-alcoholic drink and dessert combo in the evenings. I myself can't wait to return to further explore the listings in this Dessert Directory! ?

We got the Vegan chickrun nuggets. The chickrun nuggets were not bad. B said it reminded him of Ichiban seasoning powder. I think the chickrun nuggets must be made of tofu. It was very interesting.

Great addition to the Fraser strip! DD offers the cloud kitchen concept with at least four brands but unusually provide dining space in store for those who want to enjoy the products right there. This dessert heaven is great if you prefer one of these:VeganGluten freeKetoSugar freeCheesecake Factory cheesecakesWhile I'm not 100% vegan or Keto, I do prefer Gluten free. So their made to order eggless waffle with vegan mango cream cheese was perfect for me. I ate it all and did not have a reaction. But who can resist the cheesecakes from Cheesecake Factory?! Their classic red velvet is there. So is the one with Godiva chocolate. Key lime is great for the tangy feeling. They are also quite reasonably priced. I shall return to try their keto dream bars, crepes, chicken burgers, samosa burgers and those shakes sure look good.

It was really hot inside for some reason

They seem to be ripping customers off. The 16 0z cups that they use seem to be a lot smaller than what 16 oz actually is. Not only this, but a lot of their items no longer have price tags displayed. It's like they are making up prices on the spot at the counter and marking them up. A 5 dollar ice cream snickers bar? An 11 dollar small container of iced cream coffee? Seriously? Not only this, but the guy in the counter was slimy enough to put tip selections on screen for an ice cream bar that i got from the freezer lol. Tip for what exactly? For me getting the ice cream bar from the freezer, lol? Snakes.

Never received anything I ordered from this place on the food apps. Beginning to think this is a fake place. (Tonight I tried yet again, paid $20, received nothing but a 75g cookie and none of the cake I ordered. They conveniently stopped taking orders when DoorDash tried to arrange a redelivery. The last time I ordered my driver “lost” the order and the restaurant “closed” I have never received a full order any other time I tried to order and no explanation from restaurant)

I love the idea of this bakery! Pretty cool to see a bakery that has gluten free, vegan, keto, etc., options. Unfortunately, the portions size is extremely small for the money and the flavor and texture is also middling (even for the standard options where they don't have to compromise to make something gluten free).Yeah, yeah, I know, "and such small portions." is a classic joke, but when I get food I generally want it to at least be very tasty or feed a lot of people for the money and this place does neither. I'm giving it three stars for the concept but, if I was rating purely on taste and value I'd rate it lower.Another positive for this place is that they're on all the delivery apps, so you can get delivery from here, but unless you absolutely need to have something delivered, there are going to be better options.
