Decided to give this place a try but was a bit disappointed. Ordered the taro coconut sago with mochi, Black sesame paste and Steamed egg custard with Peach Resin.
The taro was good, lots of big chunks of real taro. The mochi is not chewy or in little round balls, it was a sluggy slime paste. Kinda reminds me of phlegm.
The black sesame paste was not strong enough in flavour.
The steamed egg with peach resin was very liquidy and slimey. I'm more used to more of a crunchy texture with this topping
I prefer The First Dessert on Victoria Dr. But overall, they tried. $31 for the 3 desserts, I don't think I'd come back but there are lots of people who seem to like this place.
This will be my go-to dessert café from now on. Already planning my next visit!
This was my second visit and again I was given a cracked bowl. The mango pomelo sago had raw, chalky taste mango pieces. If I was expecting this quality I wound just visit Walmart and grab mangos on sale. Plus, the mochi had no flavor.
Service was also poor — hot water came after dessert, and even when they noticed the used bowls and trays while serving new desserts, they still didn’t collect them.
Way better than other dessert shops nearby. Fresh ingredients and no shortcuts.
Tried their hot walnut soup — wow, perfect for Vancouver’s rainy nights 🌧.
Prices are fair, portions are generous, and everything tastes homemade.
The black sesame soup is rich and smooth — tastes just like home.
The pumpkin desserts are sooo good! Seasonal and worth the hype 👏
Love the vibes here, modern but still nostalgic. Great place to chill with friends.
Super cozy café, clean, and the staff are really friendly. Definitely coming back.

Finally found a place that reminds me of Hong Kong style desserts. Love the mango sago 🥭!
Best Cantonese dessert spot in Vancouver! Everything tastes so fresh and authentic.
Bought two desserts for take-out.
Double layered egg pudding - pretty good. I enjoyed the very milky taste. It's a tad too sweet but it could just be me.
Custard mochi - a disappointment. Mochi is liquid-y and not chewy nor stretchy at all. Custard is not smooth and had bits of stuff in every bite which ruined the texture of a custard. I didn't even finish the bowl despite having a sweet tooth.
The restaurant has a clean and pleasant atmosphere, and the interior design shows a sense of character and creativity that makes it stand out. The pricing is fair and affordable for what you get, and the desserts are flavorful, nicely prepared, and definitely worth trying.
Got the pistachio one and it was underwhelming.
The mango with coconut noodles was good.
Long wait.
