I had such high hopes! However, our pasta was cold when it came out. The sourdough bread starter was over toasted and seemed stale? It tasted like morning toast. The pop we ordered was flat, the server never asked to refill or get new drinks for us, and didn’t check on us until 15 mins after the food arrived. Our side plates were taken to be refreshed and we never got new ones. We had to ask after the food came, and we had specified we would be sharing. The bathrooms were dirty. Overall, we had a poor experience. I’m someone who doesn’t like to leave a poor review unless it was exceptionally poor. A good server can make up for sub par food and vice versa, but both were disappointing.

Di Beppe is a triumph of old school Italian cuisine with a modern twist. The atmosphere is chic and playful, and they make a lot happen with the rather limited space. As Italians ourselves from Montreal who have eaten fantastic restaurant and homemade fare, we were expecting a solid experience. Instead, we were absolutely blown away. From the moment we were greeted to the moment we left, we felt taken care of as if we were at a best friend's house. Both the hostess (a young European girl whose name escapes me) and our server Chris gave superb customer service and they deserve a shoutout. We shared a lasagna friti appetizer, a plate of carbonara and a fennel sausage pizza with a balsamic glaze. The pizza is some of the best I've had in my life, and I have sampled hundreds of different pizzas. Even the homemade spicy oil was phenomenal. Enjoying all of this with a limoncello spritz (or 2) added even more fun to the evening. Overall, I'd say this is a must try for anyone looking for authentic Roman style pizza and great drinks. If we find ourselves back in Vancouver any time soon, Di Beppe is going to be a regular visit.

What a great experience. Rob our server was warm, welcoming and knowledgeable about all our questions. Only issue we found was the food was not timed as we had hoped or requested, but maybe that’s how it’s done! The food was great quality and portions. Don’t miss on a Cannoli for dessert!

I absolutely loved everything in my experience going to Di Beppe in Gastown. We didn’t have a reso, but we were able to grab a seat within 20 mins. Service was great, we had a friendly server who also brought over gelato (on the house) which was very kind. We ordered the Margarita Pizza and the Bolognese Lasagna—both so delicious! Perfect shared options and great size portions. Overall would recommend!

I've stopped by the cafe many times and always enjoyed the coffee and pastries, but never tried the restaurant until tonight. And I've been missing out! Tonight's dinner was fantastic and the service was great too. We had pizza, which was super crispy and fresh, and burrata salad, which had the tastiest, richest pesto sauce. Yum!! I was looking through the menu for cocktails and couldn't decide between a tasty sounding mocktail (elder flower apple fizz) and a spritz, so asked our server Robert to make me a custom drink. He worked some magic and made me a super delicious apple elderflower drink with white vermouth and it was *muah chef's kiss*. Oh, they were also super accommodating and seated us at a window table, as requested. Di Beppe was definitely the highlight of my night, looking forward to dropping by again for dinner!

Celebrated my partner's birthday here and our server Rob was attentive with our needs and friendly too. The ambiance of the restaurant is pretty cozy and i'm glad we were seated on a corner couch. Food was so good we were trying to eat slowly to appreciate every bite. We ordered sourdough bread with balsamic, carbonara, puttanesca and tiramisu then they gave my partner a complimentary soft serve vanilla ice cream with candle. How thoughtful! We would definitely come back.

Visited for the second time a week ago to celebrate a family member's convocation and had an amazing dining experience made possible by our server, Rob. Some guests in our party had strict dining restrictions and Rob was able to cater to their needs seamlessly, and even managed to get the kitchen to produce new modifications of menu items that were just as good as the regular items we ordered. Five stars for Di Beppe, well-deserved!
