If you go anywhere else for donair in Davie village, you're making a mistake. Family owned, not a chain. Delicious. They know what they're doing and they do it fantastically

We ordered the beef donair, but it didn’t taste like real beef.
It seemed like there was something off about the meat.
Probably a good option if you’re coming out of the club late at night, but not great if you’re sober and actually craving good food.

best tasting falafel and baklava in Vancouver if not in Canada.
extremely friendly

Everything is fresh, full of flavor, and made with care.
The falafel is crispy outside, soft inside. The baklava... perfect. just perfect

I’ve been to almost every donair place in Vancouver, and unfortunately, Donair Khayal on Davie Street has been one of the worst experiences I’ve had. I paid $18 for a chicken shawarma and a can of Coca-Cola, and the shawarma came out cold inside. After just 2–3 bites, I had to ask them to reheat it, which should never happen at any food spot, especially at this price point.

This wasn’t my first visit either—I’ve been here a couple of times before, hoping things would get better, but they haven’t.

Customer service: 2/5 – Not very friendly or attentive.
– Cold meat, lacking flavour, and definitely not worth what you pay.

The best shawarma in Vancouver. I only come to this restaurant for shawarma/donairs and it is hands down the best in the city. I strongly recommend this place!

I went here a few weeks ago with my dad when I stayed in Vancouver for a couple nights and I've missed that donair since the second I finished it. We both had the beef donair and it was so good we went back for another the next night. It was perfect for a late night meal, filling, delicious, had fresh vegetables, the beef wasn't greasy and it was well constructed and easy to eat without making a mess. The service was great, the staff were very kind and looked happy. I highly recommend trying their food if you have the chance.

I can’t believe how cheap, bad, cold, and pricey the chicken wrap was. It is truly the worst place for a chicken shawarma style in Vancouver. This was a scam, please do not come.
