I bought a milkshake yesterday and was very disappointed. It tasted like ice mixed with milk – nothing like a real milkshake. It was watery, with pieces of ice floating in it. I paid $10 for this, which is way too much for something that didn’t even taste good. Since when do people put ice in a milkshake? A real milkshake should be creamy, thick, and smooth. This was just cold milk with ice. Definitely not worth the money.
Good cappuccino and dairy free ice cream.
My visit to D’oro Gelato e Caffè was a delightful experience! The gelato was incredibly creamy and flavorful, offering a wide variety of unique and traditional flavors. The atmosphere was inviting, with cozy seating and a charming ambiance perfect for enjoying a sweet treat. The staff were friendly and provided excellent service, making recommendations and ensuring we had a great visit. Whether you’re a gelato aficionado or simply looking for a delightful café experience, D’oro Gelato e Caffè is a must-visit in town!
Adorable cafe with abundant options and great atmosphere. Excellent service and best gelato, 10/10 you must try.
The croissants are not fresh and when I complained the waitresses were angry.
Very disappointing. Today I paid 11 dollars for a hot chocolate and tipped and got a cold one after I specifically asked in the beginning for it to be super hot. She gives me a lukewarm warm one and asks me to taste if it’s hot enough then I say no it’s cold then she supposedly heats it and gives it back with the same cold temperature and I did not have the energy to go back and forth for a simple request. Also, when she poured my drink to the large cup I ordered, there was about half of my drink left in pitcher so I didn’t even get my whole chocolate scoop. Isn’t there measurement for these things? I complained and I was not even offered a new drink.
Ice cream is amazing it really does feel like the real Italian gelato
best coconut gelato ever!!! thank u!!!!
I stopped at this cafe 3 years ago when visiting BC from out of province - and I still remember how delicious the pistachio cappuccino was! Thinking about a future trip to BC and hoping they still make them when I visit again. So delicious! :)

D’oro is an amazing Italian cafe with a cozy atmosphere and an authentic vibe! The pastries are delightful, and the sandwiches are fresh and flavorful. The highlight has to be the pistachio cappuccino—a unique, must-try treat that’s absolutely delicious. Perfect spot for a quick bite or a relaxed coffee break!

Must try the Affogato here! So yummm!! The staff were very kind and friendly.. We visited in the evening and were wondering if Affogato was a wise choice, but thankfully they had the decaf version too. I had mine with Kinder Bueno gelato and relished it!

Tried this ice cream place after dinner. Price was on the higher end for $7 for one scoop. They had a nice variety of flavours, though as usual I got pistachio with a waffle cone. Appreciate how they didn’t use colouring for the pistachio though. I like how natural the pistachio taste and the texture of the gelato was quite nice, it didn’t melt as fast as some other gelato in town.
