Japanese comfort food and it’s delicious. The cocktails are well made and nicely balanced. I had the Sake Sour and my husband had the Matcha Gin and Tonic and both were excellent. The food is well portioned, and the flavours and style make you feel like you’ve been invited to dinner at your Japanese neighbours’ home. The omurice is outstanding and executed perfectly. Also it’s a quarter of the price and just as good as the Michelin starred Kissa Tanto’s version down...
The moment I walked in, it felt like stepping into a different world. Maybe it’s just because I don’t usually visit this area, but the atmosphere really stood out.
The food was solid all around—everything we ordered felt thoughtfully made. The chilled ramen had a nice chew to it and was especially refreshing, perfect for those hot summer days when you’re feeling a little run-down.

They have a new dessert dish for the summer. It’s a Japanese shaved ice (kakigori) and the flavours are either blueberry or strawberry. I had the blueberry, and it has a unique blueberry sauce with soft shaved ice and vanilla ice cream. It was delicious. The chef came out to ask if we liked it, and told us more about the dish.
