Here's tThe café has a very beautiful atmosphere and they have delicious pastries. However, it closes very early, so you need to be there before 5 PM.

Best baguette in town, great coffee and my fave ham and cheese croissants
As a loyal customer of Doughgirls for the past year, I've visited them almost daily. However, an incident today left me feeling disrespected and disappointed.
This morning, I visited the bakery with my 2-year-old child, who approached the fridge out of curiosity. She placed her hand on the transparent glass door and was simply looking at what's inside, as children often do. The cashier, a Latina woman who appeared to be in her 50s, spoke to me in an unnecessarily aggressive tone, loudly instructing me to move my child away because "she would remove the stickers on the fridge." This interaction took place in front of other customers, leaving me embarrassed and upset.
Firstly, my child wasn’t causing any harm; she was simply observing the fridge. Secondly, being addressed in such a harsh tone, especially as a regular customer, felt unwarranted and unprofessional. A gentle request or a more considerate tone would have been entirely sufficient.
This experience has unfortunately changed my view of Doughgirls. It’s disheartening that a place I frequented so often treated me this way. I won’t be returning, and I’ll be sharing this experience with others in the community. Respect and kindness should be part of any customer service interaction, and sadly, that was not my experience today.

I regularly buy scones (biscuits) here and enjoy the first one with a coffee outside. They are the best in Vancouver!. We sit outside and enjoy the fresh air, but with winter approaching, it is getting too cold to sit outside . It would be great if heaters could be installed outside to continue this tradition.

Food and service are decent but this place is ridiculously overpriced. For example their baguettes went up 25% in less than a year - from 4$ to 5$. Just like that. Too much greed for a neighbourhood with so many students. They take advantage of the fact they’re the only place of its type in Wesbrook Village. Whenever I have time I just drive to Brekka on West 4th. Better food and reasonable prices.

The bread (especially the baguette) is the best, and that’s the reason I go here frequently.
BUT I have a big issue with how the line-up is managed. Basically there is one till, and whoever is staffing it waits until that person’s order is complete and delivered (could be boxing up pies, heating up Panini, bagging croissants etc, [but not waiting for the coffees]). So everyone else has to wait until the till is free before they can get their stuff.
There must be a better system (maybe cafeteria style, so you only pay when you have received everything on your tray). Or two tills, perhaps one for items not requiring any prep, with card payments only.
Today was classic – I just wanted my $5 baguette. But I had to wait for the guys in front to decide what they wanted, have it all bagged, and then have everything read back to them, and then they paid. That order took 10 minutes, mine 30 seconds. And in front of them were other slow orders, so I was in the line for 15 minutes. I also saw 3 people leave the line-up, commenting “I have to go now, Mum”. So they are losing custom.

mmmmm great food and dessert. i stop in when at appt at wesbrook!
Very cute and quaint little bakery in Wesbrook Village! My partner and I had the cinnamon roll and large chocolate chips cookie with chai lattes and everything was delicious. We also took home two of their Shepards Pies to try, so hopefully those are just as good. A warm, welcoming space.

Read a review that this place had good vegan options so just wanted to update with this not being the case. I went and asked and they said they have no vegan options.

It is a highly recommended place. All the food is fresh, looks very appetizing and made with love (plus premium ingredients). The ambiance is great and the staff is always very friendly and willing to help with any inquiries.
The Beef Shepherd's pie and the Florentine Lasagna are my favorite dishes, accompanied with the soup of the day... and for dessert, the cheesecake slice is a very good choice. I will definitely be back!

Decent chocolate chunk cookie, and tea cakes aren't too bad either. There are better options on campus and several more in the city.
