The GM, Mercedes, went above and beyond helping us make this gesture extra special for both us and the guests we were treating. Hosted our Son/DIL engagement party there in the back area. SOOO much fun and the food was fabulous! Perfect, loving photos and memories. Staff were friendly and prompt.
Dietary restrictions: DIL has allergies to dairy, nuts and seeds! Kitchen staff took total care of her!
The experience started great overall; reservation at 5pm and only a short wait for our table, and the restaurant has a lovely modern ambiance. Appetizers came very quickly after ordering, within 10 minutes! The shishito peppers and the broccolini were cooked perfectly and tasted great. The butter beef tataki had good flavour with the sauce/marinade, and the shallots were crispy and added good texture. However, if you’re expecting a butter beef similar to say, Phnom Penh, I wouldn’t order this dish as the beef is tougher as it is cooked more throughout, versus the having the meat mostly soft and rare.
What was unexpected was how long it took for the pasta to come out. We ordered 3 pastas, the vodka, carbonara and the mushroom. Unfortunately, it took 50 minutes for the pasta dishes to arrive from the time of our ordering, which was unexpected based on how quickly the appetizers came out.
Quality and taste wise however, the pasta was excellent. Texture of the pasta was great, and the various pasta shapes paired well with each sauce. I especially enjoyed the unique shape of the pasta paired with the carbonara, which really allowed the sauce to be picked up by each piece. While some at my table thought the carbonara was a little salty, I thought it was perfect for my tastes, so no issues with quality or taste of food from my perspective.
While I’m unsure why there was such an extended delay between appetizers and entrees, I would highly recommend this place for delicious, high quality pasta and a lovely ambiance. If when I come again, I hope that the timing issues with the food was just a one off, and then I would likely increase my rating to five stars overall.

5 stars across the board. We had a work dinner at the beautiful dovetail and everything was fantastic. It’s cozy, romantic and inviting as soon as you walk in the door. The servers are quick and thoughtful, always going the extra mile to make sure everyone at the table is having a great experience. The cocktails, were off the charts delicious, and the food has me writing this review 4 days later because I can’t stop thinking about it!

Food and everything is great but the music is so loud I can barely have a conversation…. They also changed their mushroom bread to think slices. I think the old version was much better. Still tasty though. Would love to go again.

They have an amazing happy hour! All their pastas are $25; I would highly recommend the spicy vodka pasta, a must. The Brussels sprouts are a go- to. In addition to that, the wine is $40 for the bottle and is a spectacular pair with the pasta. Reservations are needed since this place is always busy! The service was some of the best I ever had! The waitress, I wish I had caught her name, was positive and genuine.

On our first visit while the food was great, we had a few issues with the service. We went back a second time, the food was just as great, and the service was much much better. We had the popular vodka pasta, striploin steak, bang bang shrimp, mochiko chicken, and the carne asada. They were all amazing!!! Dovetail has a very amazing vibe. The DJ had very good music going on Saturday night to add to the ambiance. I definitely recommend Dovetail if you are looking for a great meal with a nice and cool ambiance. P.S. The Dovetail sour cocktail is also ?

Had an early Saturday lunch, ordered two pasta dishes, the Carbonara and Bolo. Both were perfect for this rainy afternoon. The pricing on wines by the glass or bottle was decent- something at various price points. Enjoyed the VerditaRita cocktail. The service was warm and well-timed. The room acoustics were good so we could chat without straining to hear or be heard. Liked the ambience and seating. Happy hour pricing was a plus but the full prices weren’t eye-watering either. May be a new local favourite for me.

Really nice restaurant with great atmosphere! We sat at the bar and ordered a few things on the menu. Our server was really nice however the service was a little off. Kinda feel like she forgot about us which I find a little disappointing. We ordered the bolo and spicy vodka paste and shared some veggies. Everything tasted amazing! The only thing I would say is that the portions of the pasta’s are too large to share 2 plates for 2 people. I wasted 3/4 of my plate.. i wish they made them smaller so we can order more and get to share.
