Usually love the food, but today was straight up cold… buns for the sando was completely cold, chicken inside was lower than room temp. 7 degrees raining outside today. Service’s been always nice though.

Atmosphere is great. Service is great. And I love fried chicken. So this place is great. I would recommend getting at least once. Unfortunately it is pretty expensive and, frankly, it doesn’t have much repeatability. It tastes good the first time, but you’ll probably get tired of it soon. Though I won’t be too harsh - there’s only one fried chicken place in the world that I have never gotten tired of.

The chicken itself is nice and juicy, and they have a lot of spice selection. It is fried very well, with a satisfying crunch. However, pieces vary in size by quite a bit (looking at you, tenders), which means you sometimes won’t get what you paid (quite a large price) for. Also, sometimes the bites on the edge will just be pure breading. And it gets dense and oily quickly - i wouldn’t get more than maybe four pieces. But it’s chicken and I love chicken so ?‍♀️. I will still be coming back again. And again. And again. Fear me, DL CHICKEN SHACK

Came here tonight with some friends for an event so decided to have dinner here beforehand. It's my first time here, but my 3 friends have been here before. The atmosphere and energy in the place was fun and upbeat. When I told the cashier it's my first time, please explain to me the level of spicy that comes with the chicken....he yelled "we got a first timer here!", and everyone in the back kitchen started shouting and cheering. That was different and created a fun atmosphere. Let's get down to the chicken review ?. I ordered 2 piece with fries for $16.90, since I already had a drink in hand from somewhere else. I got it medium spicy. The chicken came with a slice of white bread underneath!? I was too carbed out to eat the bread. The seasoning and spice on the chicken was very tasty. It wasn't spicy at all, I liked the aroma. The fries were over fried, cause I don't taste the potato in it. Fortunately the seasoning made it easier to eat, so because of that I gave 5 stars for food since there's no 4.5 stars. My friends all got the chicken sandwich or the waffle burger.....they loved it. Guess next time I will try a burger.

Excellent chicken ! Very tasty!!!

I got the chicken and waffles with my friend at the 'Hot' Spicy level and if you like spicy I would say it's the perfect Hot, enjoyable!

We weren't even gonna stop here, but a local was outside coming inside to throw their trash away (y'know it's good when...) and we're were wondering if it's good, this person instantly heard us and said themselves, "some of the best chicken you're ever going to try!" We were immediately convinced and weren't let down at all!

The prices were pretty steep I would say however, not a KFC that's for sure and that's saying something because even KFC can be pricy at times. I highly suggest they drop their prices slightly maybe 20-25% and I would call this place some of the best chicken I've had in Vancouver.

I can't believe this place is ripping off students! I mean the price gauging is another level! Not only the quality is worse than the Commercial Street location, the price is 1.5 times more expensive! I mean this is supposed to be an affordable place for students to dine, not a fast food place with fancy prices! I paid $52 for two sandwiches and 2 cans of Coke! Even if you eat burger at Cactus club you would pay less! Students should avoid this place until they stop price gauging!

Sickk food and wonderful staff. + 1000 aura

This is my favourite fried chicken joint in the city! I’ve been going to the commercial spot for years and it never disappoints, and I’m glad they opened a spot closer to where I live! Lemon pepper chicken was my favourite, but it’s not on the menu now so I switched to Jerk as my go to. I’d recommend trying any new/special flavours that come in because they’re always great. The chicken is so juicy and perfectly seasoned. Great sides as well!
