The restaurant was quiet but my OG sando combo meal came out subpar. The chicken was over fried and hard. The fries were cold. Again, not sure why when the restaurant was so quiet. Very disappointing for a $29 lunch (with tip and tax).

i am leaving this review here because I can't leave a review for their pop-up at the Kits Pool Concession stand. A friend and I ate their last night. The hotdogs were severely over-cooked and dried out. and the fries were also very dry, though not over-cooked--which was weird. They burger I had last time was just OK. The fries taste over-processed all the time, but last night they were like sawdust. If I just want the atmosphere, I can bring my own food. It's a shame that a better vendor wasn't chosen. Let's hope for better next year.

The customer service received was really good. It was my first time here so I wasn't sure what I wanted to try, so I went with the lunch wing special which is reasonable priced at $14 and seemed an easy enough dish to try.

The fries were hard to begin with and I don't know if it is meant to be like that, but it was that kind of hard that it was refried and was sitting for awhile. So I threw those out and left with the wings to eat later.

As you can see from the pictures, they were all under cooked. The first one I bit into, I was like ok maybe it's just the one, but every single piece was like that. And for that reason plus the fact that they aren't what I consider to be fried, it gets a one star.

This place rocks. First thing you notice is how awesome the staff are. Mind you this is on the UBC campus so it's a given young guys who are upbeat and cool work here.
I ordered the lunch special for $13 and you got alot of wings, not sure the amount but it's a good portion, with seasoned crinkle fries and a drink. I got the jerk chicken wings. They were not that spicy so they were not going to have your tongue raw. I definitely recommend you all go there.

The chicken is really tasty- go to is the original chicken sandwich, no so much the waffles. However, the commercial drive location is better, would really love to see the quality at the UBC location match that. Service is really friendly and fun.

Gray and Lucha were so kind and so funny the entire time that I was there, I loved how when I said it was my first time, they screamed “FIRST TIMER WOOP WOOP” I cracked up bigtime. I told them I wanted to try something small and they recommended trying the 2 chicken thighs. I got 1 spicy and 1 pizza flavour.
I can easily say this is up there for the best fried chicken I tried in Canada so far. It was delicious and extremely moist, and you could tell the pizza flavour but it wasn’t overpowering. I genuinely cant wait to go back to Vancouver to enjoy this again.

8.7/10 - travel as far as a road trip for it or if you’re in Vancouver definitely make this a stop
